And so it begins. The pre-season bravado that evolves into mid season desperation when Mattâs own predictions show that he knows little about football, followed by more pseudo-bravado as he starts copying othersâ predictions to bolster his position, then claiming a Herculean recovery that is not really his own before tripping up at the final hurdle, losing spectacularly yet claiming victory in a Trumpian manner that has the rest of the predictors both laughing and rolling their eyes simultaneously.

The standard is - slow start, muddling along in the middle, then finishing like a train.
Iâve never lost ground over the final 10 games and expecting yet another finish above the struggling Manchester cabal as they look on enviously. And quietly.

As the most successful predictor of all time, itâs simply one of the challenges that goes with the territory.

Never enviously - I never copy predictions (on purpose anyway ) so I have the moral high ground.
