Prediction League 2: 2024-25 - Intro & Table Updates

Next updated table after the games on Tuesday night. Up and down scoring again, but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by Featherstonered and BornASaddler (back to back wins!) - well done you two!

Things are getting a bit tighter near the top of the league now, so all to play for!
Saturday’s games are all up and running so don’t forget to get the predictions in before the kick off times.

JJ - think I should have 2 points from Tuesday from the Walsall game :+1:

Correct. For some reason I had 4-1 in my head as the Walsall score!
I will add the point on when I do the weekend games.

Updated table from the weekend’s games. Pretty good scoring throughout, and the winning score was 4 points, achieved by cookyskid, Shrewsbury-Saddler, OldPenkSaddler and derbysaddler - well done to you all!

The FA Cup takes prime position next weekend, so we’ll see you back for league two action on Saturday 9th November!

Updated table after the games yesterday. A strange set of results with some teams not playing to form and losing to teams a lot lower - League 2 is a bit odd at the moment, below the play offs!
As a result, over half of the predictors recorded big blobs, but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by Rugbysaddler for a second win of the season - well done!

Reduced fixtures next week as it is international weekend but still a game week, which will be up and running shortly.

I’m dropping like a stone again

Updated table after yesterday’s games. Reasonable scoring and not too many blobs. The winning score was 4 points, achieved by tinned - well done!

Next weekend’s games will up and running shortly, but we also have the p-p game on Tuesday between Wimbledon and Accrington, so I’ll add on any points for that when I do the table for next weekend.

Thanks.

Famine or feast for me. Highest score this week, zero points for previous two weeks.

Still wide open, can’t believe I’m on the second page :astonished: :astonished:, and have been pretty much from the off, and not even had a weekly win yet :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: fook …even @chunkster above me , must be alphabetical or some bollox … :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Even I’ve had a weekly win and that’s unheard of for me

Updated table after the prolonged weekend games. With postponed games, it caused a low scoring week but also created a lot of asterisks for the p-p games. The winning score ended up being 3 points, achieved by SaddlerGeorge - well done on your first weekly win!

No-one earnt any points from the Wimbledon v Accy game last Tuesday so that had no effect but we’ll see when the 3 postponed games from the weekend resurface and end up being played.

No prediction week this coming weekend due to FA Cup ties, so it returns on the Tuesday evening - the thread is already up and running.

Updated table after the games over the last couple of evenings.
Quite low scoring overall with only a few scores more than 2 points, but the winning score was 4 points, achieved by Saddler1977 - well done!

The games for this weekend are already up and running. Hopefully the appalling weather forecasts won’t hinder the fixture list too much and add more games to the p-p list!:confounded:

Wow I’m shocked, i knew i had 2 points from correct outcomes, but didn’t know I’d got a correct scoreline

Updated table after yesterday’s games. Low scoring again, but mainly due to the weather knocking out two games that quite a few people predicted. We are in the land of asterisks again at this time of year!:man_facepalming::confounded::yum:
So, the week’s winning score was 3 points, achieved by SaddlerGeorge, Saddler1977 (two weeks in a row) and BornASaddler (4 weekly wins now!) - well done to you all!

Next weekend’s fixtures are up and running so get your predictions in before then.

I know I’m clutching at straws but should I not have a pp * for Notts county yesterday

Yes, you should, and you have an asterisk next to your name for this! Do you think you should have more than 1, as from my records you only have that game as a p-p?

Sorry I missed that should of put my glasses on

Ha ha, don’t worry, they can be hard to make out within the see of text and asterisks in the table!!

Updated table after the game at Fleetwood tonight. Generally a low scoring week with MK Dons scuppering things for quite a lot of people. The winning score was 3 points, achieved by a multitude of people - Jayelar, ProfessorPeach, Laundryman, matt_saddlesore, Belphegor, Shrewsbury_Saddler, OldPenkSaddler and Rugbysaddler - well done to all!

The thread for next weekend is already up and running with some Friday evening games, Saturday lunchtime and then the 3pm ones. Get your predictions in before the kick offs for the games you want!

Updated table after today’s and last night’s games. Scoring seems to be a bit low in recent weeks as some form or fancied teams have an off day and let down a lot of predictors. But, the winning score was still 3 points, achieved by RedandWhite and Harlequin - well done to both of you!

As we approach the halfway point of the season, no one is running away with it and it remains a closely contested season! With a few p-p games to be played by the first week or two of February, there could be a few people rising up the table and challenging for top spot.

As we head into the Christmas and New Year and people’s movement can be a bit all over the place, I have set up the prediction weeks for Boxing Day and then the 29th / 30th as well. NYD games and the early January fixtures will be up in the next few days as well to help those who may be away from wifi or the internet for a bit. If you need to PM any predictions, please feel free and I will add them to the relevant game week thread as and when I can.
