Relegation

Make no mistake, no matter what division end up in next season, we’ll get relegated from it unless there’s serious change!

We have the momentum and mentality of losers.

You can only base it on what we get from Sadler

It’s either form that’s unrivalled. We had last seasons run. It’s promotion form.

Then this seasons run

Or just nothing. Clueless chaos. Poor defensively. Relegation forms

For me it ain’t good management.

I said before when people said we’d come straight back down. That may be right, but I was always more concerned what happens if we don’t go up.

I’m not saying we will be relegated but I don’t know what next season looks like for us in League 2.

Been saying this for weeks, after all we have been waiting 7 years to be here.

The side we have now will not be the side that kicks off next season no matter what division we are in. We will most likely sign some decent players in the summer. This clubs biggest problem is the January transfer window It destroyed Dean Keates, Michael Flynn and now Mat Sadler.
Darrell Clarke did the sensible thing and walked away as it was destroying him.
Until Walsall learn to deal with the January the club is doomed to failure.

Gone from 15 points clear of 4th, to potentially 4th 5pm on Sat (or worse) - not sure how it’s possible not to feel a little aggrieved.

The worst of it for me, is the extinguishing of hope, that’s all I’ve ever had to live on with this football club, even relegation brings hope of promotion. But if we fail to go up now, there is no positivity I can see.

Isn’t there a stat doing the rounds at the moment showing we have had the least promotions in the last 20 years.

The biggest problem we’ve got are our highest earners ( presumably ) don’t kick a ball. Johnson , Daniels , priest , Comley, Gordon. All their wages will be freed up in the summer. We need a manager bounce to get us over the line and then the new manager got a clean slate cause most of the squad out of contract.

We will still be paying the wages of Brendan Comley and Josh Gordon until June 2026.

Other players still in contract for next year: Lakin, Okagbue, Allen, Amantchi, Connor Barrett

Ive seen some shocking threads on this site but this tops the lot..

A relegation thread when we are currently in the race for promotion.

Please whoever started this thread please return to your padded cell.
