They got promoted because they both had a decent strikeforce.. vale had tolaj and stockley.. stockport had best attack in the league.. we have pressley who can header but cant run,kanu who can run but dunno if he can shoot and jamma who cant do shite.. underwhelming to say the least

Then

Fully agree with that. At the start of the day I wanted cover at left wing back and a striker in. Weā€™ve ended up with another attacking midfielder. Judging from the comments from Vale fans he seems to be a good player but not the position we need. I assume a striker probably fell through today but this is the problem with leaving things till the last minute.

Hopefully the club/personnel at the club are a tiny bit more professional than the great unwashed. May I add, I think a 3 yr contract for George Hall is a big risk considering his history and his time with us, but that was probably what was needed to get him in the first place and knowing them it will all come up smelling of roses and he will be fine from now onā€¦

He started 3 games for Stockport so not exactly a huge contribution, however he was decent for Vale.

Really good signing , unfortunately tarnished by not signing a striker.

I hope this means MS is reviewing his tactics and formation. Play Rico and Uncs as wingers in a 442, overlapping with WBā€™s. Elvis and Kanu on the end of crosses.

If we have to resort to Matt, he would be more effective on crosses.

I can see this being a real decent signing and I think heā€™ll chip in with a few goals, but the real worry is if heā€™s a game changer and Vale are struggling in January they will simply recall him.
We wonā€™t ever learn.

He looked lively for Vale at times last season, interesting last minute pick up and at an age where he can be signed permanently at a later date.

With Gordon going out leaves four out and out forwards at the club. One is Adomah so has to mean a formation change for certain games.
