Friday 6th July, kick-off 7.30pm.
Dean has said that he will field different teams in each half; the full first team in one half and the other pros/development squad in the other half. This will be the first chance for Saddlers fans to see any new signings in action.
Where’s the response GIF?
Don’t mind this fixture at all Rushall are probably my favourite local club.
Good that we are actually taking a first team to play half of it for once. Always wondered why we haven’t taken a full strength side and pasted them with a shedload of goals. Might give the strikers some confidence at least.
Lol a bit cruel I think the whole idea is to help a local team get a few spondulas in the coffers while giving our young kids a bit of game time.
Like our Villa game, reversed.
Ordineraly yes but this time we will be helping THEM out

Dean has said that all of his professionals will play. It will be two different teams, one for each half, so we will get a chance to see the likes of Cook, Ismail, Ginelly, Dunn and hopefully a couple of more new signings.
From Rushall’s perspective, it’s a chance for manager Liam McDonald to have his first pre-season at the club. He was appointed during last season when the Pics had sunk to 24th out of 24 in the Northern Premier League. He lifted them to 8th position, above local rivals Hednesford Town, Stourbridge, Stafford Rangers, Sutton Coldfield Town and Halesowen Town and won the Walsall Senior Cup at Bescot Stadium.
Local fans will know that Rushall suffered a burglary and mindless vandalism a few weeks ago which, even allowing for insurance compensation, has left the club with a large expense. A big turnout by both sets of fans on what should be a warm summer’s evening will help the Pics no end.
