Wonder how the sales are doing and how many more have bought with the re release
some are probably still hanging on for the game changing signing
I am (x3)
I honestly don’t think you are on your own mate, i think that if the club sign a couple of half decent strikers we will shift another few hundred
I’m contemplating 3 x season tickets ive never really bothered with season tickets as i cant commit to attending every game but with all the buzz around the takeover and Flynn appeal was going to purchase 3 but i want us to show abit more ambition with the signings before committing. My brother is in the same boat as me so theres potential 5/6 season tickets just in my family. No doubt theres many more just like us ready commit once we have a couple of marquee signings over the line just hope they dont leave it too late or fail to deliver.
For the 2020-2021 season Pomlett said he would give partial refunds to season ticket holders if we passed so many number sold. I think from memory he set the bar at initially 3,000, then 3,500, 4,000, etc. Dont know how many we have sold so far this season but wouldnt that have been a good idea to put forward as a further incentive to fans this season?
This season must be one of the best years for season ticket sales for a long time. We the fans have supported our Club through some absolute crap over the past few years. It would be nice for our new owners to demonstrate and acknowledge that loyal support by giving something back to the fans!!! We dont even get a couple of free pints of beer now!!!
I’ve had my season ticket it came through the post, I’m looking forward to the season hopefully we get the play offs there is excitement around the club because of the new Owners that have come which is great we have needed this for years hopefully it’s start of something great onwards and upwards UTS
Might push a few more out this week if we make a good signing?
I had it at 10989, as I was under the impression they’d removed some and recycled them to replace broken ones.
Can’t find anything official though, so who knows exactly what it is.
Anyone know how many we have sold?
He will count them again when he gets back to work on Monday
A random post popped up on my Facebook this morning telling me Mansfield have sold 3600 season tickets.
Seems as though you have to force these things out of Walsall. Not sure why it is such a secret, they always post how many tickets we have sold for away games for example. Maybe they will announce it when the early bird finishes.
Would agree. Don’t think any of the signings to date are going to get people rushing for a season ticket.
More breaks than Judith Chalmers.
I have followed Mr Fish and counted 3,350 seats sold. I’ve excluded the first two rows of section N in the main stand and Section A in the Family Stand which are not used and may account for some of the difference between the two figures.
As we sold 2,600 in total last season (which was in itself an increase on the previous season) this represents another improvement, with more to come if we sign a decent striker or two ( a big if).
We sold around 4k when Merson signed in 2003/4, which I’m guessing is our record ST figure.
4176 sold with 24 days to go to the end of the discount period. 100% retention of existing STHs that haven’t renewed would take us to just under 5.5k
Grimsby
Both Grimsby and Mansfield are ahead of us in ST sales then. Grimsby’s support has been up and down over the years but currently on an up, given promotion and good vibes around the new ownership.
Mansfield have generally had lower support levels but have money and an experienced management team, so good vibes there too.
It seems supporters across the board are more likely than they used to be to buy season tickets as a proportion of average support. A trend that we need to continue to capitalise on.
We’ve not had a half decent season for 7 years, I’m shocked we sell more than 500 tbf.
