He’s always all of that, at the same time, all of the time!
He has manners, decorum, and etiquette. He’s been trained from a young age in proper social conduct, table manners, ceremonial protocols, and modes of address. Posture, dress, and behavior in public have been meticulously cultivated. His goal is to instill a sense of dignity, gravitas, and authority on here befitting his status. He probably learned a lot of this from his Nannies.
Don’t underestimate Crod, he’s a very clever alter ego, hilariously funny, if only we had more Crod and less argument/back stabbing, UTS would be a lot more enjoyable place to dip in and out of .
Has Croddy passed away or something? It seems as if we’re all adding an epitaph for him…
No match pass option for this one, unfortunately
Catching up with the threads this morning, I can only assume that old Crodley had a bit too much of the Armand de Brignac last night
No problem. I’m still trying to un-see the Drogheda debacle.
Most meaningful pre season game to judge where we are at against a strong Solihull side who nearly made it into L2 last season.
Would be interesting to see if Malcom plays any part. If he does I’d assume he’s pretty much signed up. Then it’s just to see if we can get one more in the week hopefully early stages to give them time to settle for Saturday!
Hoping for a 0-0.
Can I suggest we play Gordon and Jellis up front.
Made me laugh hoping for a 0-0 but yes, ill take it
Why Gordon?
I won’t be surprised if there are triallists (including some of those we’ve already seen) given a run in this one. We might also see DJ on the bench with the of the squad (with the rest of the walking wounded) - I read nothing into not taking him or any triallists to Ireland.
As I’ve commented before, I also expect the game to be one of 2 halves with wholesale changes at the break to give everyone minutes on the pitch rather than the preferred starting XI for next week being started and most given a full game with the odd substitution as for a proper game. That doesn’t seem to be the way we approach pre-season any more.
And even if no triallists make an appearance, it doesn’t mean that we won’t be signing another player(s) before next Saturday, or the end of the window (which is still the best part of 4 weeks away) - or that these must have to be “panic buys” rather than ones that we’ve been looking at for a while that have taken a while to come together and couldn’t happen earlier. No, Matt and Flash as our sole striking partnership, or either played as a lone forward, doesn’t fill me with hope - but I’ll only start worrying about it if it’s still the only option from September, not before.
You’re so insightful Andy…
I always respect your opinions but I can’t agree with your last paragraph.
I think it is right we will sign more players. I can’t accept that there is nothing to worry about if we are still looking when the season begins. That is not what was outlined by Trivela and their brand new laser-focused recruitment. We play 4 League games and a cup game before the window shuts. We missed the playoffs by 5 points last season, wasn’t it? And we are alright playing for 12 points without a real strikeforce?
The longer it goes on and the closer to the window closing it gets, the more likely panic signings will happen.
I’m not saying it can’t still work out well but it is definitely a concern in my mind.
I personally think the last game or two of pre season should be the preferred starting 11 for 60 minutes minimum.
We can’t just hope it clicks.
No idea why this would be the case as we haven’t adopted that approach in the last two preseason games against them that have come at the end of our preseason preparations. In fact in both of those games we only made one change at halftime we changes then happening around the 70 min mark onwards.
Is it being streamed anywhere today?
It might be worth asking Ian Sharps
Anybody know where to best parking by ground?
Much appreciated
We parked on a car park on the ground last season. I can’t remember how much it was now £5 rings a bell but not certain. Wasn’t too bad getting away after the game.
Not sure if there is anywhere else local you can park for free.
