I was one of the faithful 2000 odd that attended yesterday after a 220 round trip in awful weather conditions. I thought we played ok and with a decent finisher we could have nicked it.
If Leigh really wants to have a go, here is what we should be doing.
Borrow 500k (Fixed interest rates are at an all time low) and invest in three new players.
Two decent strikers at 200k each and a full back at 100k. All on at least a two year contract.
Even National League Clubs are taking a similar punt. I know wages would be around 300k per year, but lets have a go. You never know clever recruitment from Fullarton could mean we eventually sell one or two on for several million. This is the Peterborough model
