There is joke there about vinegar strokes but I can’t find it.

I wasn’t scarred in that way but living opposite to it has resulted in a life-long distaste for vinegar and any sort of pickles.
The drainage was disgusting around the place and the workers reeked of vinegar when they walked past or you encountered them in shops.

What do you have on your chips?

Just salt.

Despite not being well all week Jack made it! Hospitality and a visit from some of the players after the game.

Fantastic - the club really seems to get the whole fan engagement process these days. Long may it continue…. UTS

The club is so much more invested in the fans , that was a nice touch for Jack, so different to the Bonser/Whalley/Gamble/Mole era, perhaps with the progression of the club both on and off the pitch fans can clearly see the realisation that the new owners identified as to who and what was the reason for the decaying of our club over the years.

Absolutely correct - and without trying to mix topics, I also believe the era you mention is fundamentally part of the problem with the point made in the 5,000 glass ceiling topic…

An ignorance and inability to admit we need to change to be successful….

I noticed the tribute to Jack in the programme too…I thought it was a wonderful gesture. The Club are doing much good work in this area of supporter engagement and hopefully it will start to boost our attendances but we also have a role to play. Until recently this site has been full of folk criticising the club ( with good reason in many respects) but it is time for us too to get the message out there that things are changing and that this is a club on the move in the right direction.
This January will help if we come out stronger as MS has said and if can keep hold of the core of this team through the Summer that will help too.

100% mate - I’ve never felt so optimistic that the club is in in good hands and serious about moving forward to bigger and better things…

I hope Jack had a lovely time at the match yesterday.
He got to see five goals scored by the super saddlers, another three points added towards promotion and we were honoured to have him among us.
It doesn’t get much better than that.

@Sondek He certainly did! Being frail and having to depend on a wheelchair for mobility, it was a monumental task for him - but he made it. Complete strangers were coming up to congratulate him and wish him well.
