Wicked review Steve mate! I will add Adi Viveash in to the mix of past players that’s served us well.

I expect Holloway to get the better of Sadler again.

I looked since 2010/11 we lost 2-1 to MK and as Andy said the most recent time was 3-0 to Doncaster in 2012/13 not since then though.

Easy win….in the end!!
3-1
1-1 half time
Stuttle 2 & Elvis

Supporters muttering at end of the game about how to replace Stuttle when he’s recalled in January to try and save Bournemouth from relegation……
Sound familiar?

Opening games at home since 10/11

John Smith - a member of Swindon’s League Cup winning team in 1969 and Saddlers player manager shortly after.

But otherwise, a superb match preview.

A travelling audience of in excess of 2,000 is hugely impressive and should push the overall number of spectators past 6,000. The Undercroft will be absolutely rocking pre-match.

Will be keen to see how we line up for this one , suspect Sadler may surprise us all with one two unexpected starters.

2000+ Robins in attendance is impressive, let’s hope we send them home disappointed

3-1 to the Mighty Mighty Saddlers

We’ve got this

Here’s a rare one. Iffy Onuora registered as a player/coach with us in the very early Merson days, but I don’t think he made an appearance. If I remember rightly, he got sent off from the sidelines at Swindon away following an ill-tempered to-do.

He then went on to take a coaching role at Swindon, who were probably inspired by his, ahem, ‘passion’, and then perhaps understandably scarpered when Dennis Wise showed up.

Tommy Coakley’s first home game was a 0-3 to Bristol Rovers.

Only 2 more sleeps and still not “feeling the season opener buzz” last season is gonna take a lot of getting over and I think this is a really tough opening fixture. A very experienced opposing manager, a HUGE away following and a red hot non league striker making his EFL debut all adds up to a tricky start. I am sure by the time I get to my seater and have re-aquatinted myself with those ST holders around me I will feel differently. Deliberately stayed away from all pre season games so will be good to get a first hand view of many new additions. I’m glad the new season is upon us but really don’t know what to expect from this squad, so it’s a big unknown and can only hope we start well to avoid the inevitable backlash aimed at MS, BB, BS and LP… COYS

Everyone I ask is not looking forward to it :joy:

We need a strong start to the season for sure.

A fast start is imperative, just like when I’m making love to the mistress, but I’m backing Matt and the boys to do just that. We’ve had an outstanding pre-season and the new additions have looked good and adjusted remarkably well to Sadball. Really looking forward to how it all comes together in a competitive environment at an absolutely rocking Pallet-Track Bescot on Saturday afternoon.
