Draper. I have misgivings about this. Part of me is in the ‘never go back’ camp, noting that Freddie hasn’t made the progress at Lincoln that we all thought he was capable of. I’m not convinced that it would work second time around. A huge risk for the money we were thought to be offering.
I agree with you on that but apparently the club thought he could do a job and if he had signed I think we would have made it.

Maybe he’s a bit like a younger Andy Rammell. Only was prolific with the Saddlers, some players and clubs just ‘fit’

And therein lies the problem. Not paying money to another EFL club, instead of an undisclosed sum to a nonleague outfit. That’s the Walsall way.
If you were at the Barrow game you’d know he absolutely tore us a new one and bullied our defence all game.
Just because a striker hasn’t scored goals at one club doesn’t mean he won’t elsewhere.

Thats one game though mate and i think anybody would of ran us ragged. Lets face it. From 1-11 that day we were abysmal. The day Sadler should have been sacked.

There was a time, about 2013, when we only had 6 full-time professionals when we returned for pre-season training! We filled the gap by nicking a few players from Hereford- they were our btches that pre-season! It is slightly worrying - I would love to see at least 4 new signings before the end of the month, but it probably won’t happen. I can’t wait to play the annual game of: “Guess the name of the triallist” when the photos are released of the first day of training! But, I’m still waiting for that “Game Changing” signing!!

The season we got relegated, 24 hours before the season started and we had one recognised centre half at the club.

And signed Fitzwater on the Friday and beat Plymouth 2-1 on the Saturday! The Pilgrims fans were so peed off - they were expecting to stroll it! We then topped League 1 for a while but it all soon went T!ts up!!

Correct season. Brewitt played aswell as Christian Mbulu against Ajax, Mbulu sadly passed away 2 years later.
