Buxton away for the sesh

Everton at home for slight chance of an upset

Rubbish out of form team at home please like wolves or west brom. been ages since I’ve seen a 4th round

44 or 41 at Home, please, gives a chance of an upset and a money-spinning glamour tie in Round 4.
But we know it will be either 54 or 55 Away. :slightly_smiling_face:

Any PL or West Brom away

I want a team we never play - Everton (only ever played twice, never at home, the last one in 1972), Tottenham (only played once, at Fellows Park in 1969) or Newcastle (played once since 1963, at Fellows Park in 1975).

Apart from the handful of non-league clubs I think we’ve played all of the rest in the last 50 years or less.

Edit - add Villa to that list, we haven’t played them in a competitive game since 1972, although of course we’ve played them in numerous friendlies since then so wouldn’t be as interesting.

I want 21 away but i think it will be 59 away

Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, or Newcastle away please.

Or a beatable opponent at home so we can make a 4th round and then draw one of the above (wouldn’t mind Swansea away either, great piss up, and be great to get one over Russell Martin!! Or Norwich at home maybe.)

You know it’ll be Charlton, or Wigan, or Millwall, or Luton away or something!

We’ll probably get to the 5th round, without beating anyone above L1. Dull, but at least there is the cash.
Didn’t someone like Millwall (when in L1) get to the semis once, without any notable giant-killlings?

21 away.

Millwall reached the final in 2004, losing to ManUre, after beating us in Round 3. They then beat Telford, Burnley, Tranmere and Sunderland. They were a Championship team at the time, same as we were.
Wycombe (Rambo! Rambo!) and Chesterfield both reached the semis as League One teams in the last 25 years.

Any West Midlands team or Greed League strugglers at home please. Small chance of an upset and progress to Round 4.

That’s the year Tranmere won the cup if I remember.

Ah, why did I write that? It was Telford they beat in the fourth round after dismissing us. They didn’t make history by beating Tranmere twice. :upside_down_face:

After the match, I was thinking Everton away please.
When I saw the numbered list above, I thought 15 to correspond with my birthday.
Everton it is then.

I’ll be in Spain until a few days after the tie, so just hope that we get someone that we have a decent chance of beating or drawing with.
£105 grand for getting through. A nice few quid to dangle in front of DJ’s nose.

Everton away cos it is probably the only chance we will get to go there. I know some older fans have been to Goodison but it was slightly before my time.

Other than that one of the big teams away that will make us a fair few £££ and will be a good day out. Spurs, Newcastle, Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal. Probably count Man City in that lot but feels like we have played Man City lots of times.

Outside of that, I’d give us a chance against plenty of teams at home,

If I could pick only 1 then Arsenal away. My youngest daughter wants Man United away🤞

Remember the good ol days of the 70s, as a lad watching us bear ManU, Leicester and Newcastle at FP… roll on those times again
