Tranmere Rovers (H) Jan 11th, 12.30pm kick-off

This game is not going ahead, lets hope they do the right thing and call it off Friday like Cheltenham did.

What about the strength of the sun in July? Surely the risk of sunburn, to players and audience, means the sensible decision is to postpone?

Unlike the Cheltenham decision, from the weather forecast it’s looking to me like this one should be called off.

Also, Unlike last week I’ve had to put a coat on when going for a walk.

Whether the game is on or off at least the club have done the best they can to get it on. Some of the ground staff and stewards were in on Monday to clear and prep and cover the pitch before the frosts hit. However imho that corner in the away end will be the issue.

Heated tent thingy over the pitch. This is a step up in how we normally operate!

Just watching the video on twitter and the game looks loke it will be on with the help of some fancy tenting and heated blowers.

Yes that’s a fabulous video. Well done the club for both putting in the effort to get the game on and communicating what’s being done to the fans. Top marks for the club here. Maybe we will play on Saturday.

Plus if they do get it on I can goad the Cheltenham fans about their postponement.

Great stufffrom the club, probably more than pay for itself in the difference between a Saturday and midweek attendance, and more importantly reduce fixture congestion.

The guy from Sports and Stadia surfaces says it should be fine as we got these plans in early enough - hopefully his experience will prove accurate in this case and we’ll be good to go :crossed_fingers:

Let’s hope the covers do their thing as it looks like the temps are dropping.

We have gone up in the world. Where are the braziers? Gone to the metal recyclers hopefully

I assume sky are paying for this as they don’t like their televised games to be called off.

Id say it’s more a case of the club willing to make the investment to try and get the game on. Last week was a well timed break, to follow it up with another week off wouldnt be great at all.

If it does it’s job and gets the game on great.
I would say the attendance will still take a hit with the weather being so cold, but i would think still bigger than a Tuesday night re arranged game.

Great to see us moving forward with technology as long as it isn’t a Sky thing.
