Trivela Group Takeover

Your not understanding. Trivelas purchase of the stadium is not a magic wand to make us suddenly better off. They don’t have any money. They are borrowing it all and the mortgage payments could well be comparable to the rent particulary in the first few years.
They will reduce over time. V

As you say @Gensanx123, Trivela are not going to gift WFC the freehold. I would have thought that the club will be making similar payments for the next 20 years in order to buy the freehold back from our No.1 fan.

To keep the maths simple let’s say that the freehold is purchased for £10M. That would equate to mortagage payments of £500K per year for the next 20 years (not including any interest due).
So, status quo!

Of course, having the freehold in the hands of the club makes the club more attractive when it comes to selling it on, so maybe any hypothetical Rico windfall money could be used to pay off the mortgage early…

:joy: said the bloke upset at a one word response. Behave.

Looks a completely bang average one to me, but apparently they mean the same thing to some people :man_shrugging:

I think that was Geordie’s point. Semantics. It’s a decent pot alright. :+1:

Geordies point was to get a rise out of me and he did so fair play. It takes him a good 7/8 attempts usually, but some times you can’t resist, bless him.

At least he didn’t deny it was a pot all together or something ridiculous like that.

I’m totally understanding mate and of the view that this will be an issue for most of the rest of my life. Which is depressing.

Personally I’d rather have a Perostroikas!!

Fair enough. It’s not a great scenario tbh. A bunch of strangers from the Usa taking out an enormous mortgage to buy a Football stadium. That’s basically it in a nutshell

Do we think these guys, and some of the other Americans on Twitter who have been mentioning us, are part of Trivela’s investment portfolio?

He appears to be pointing at the Poundland logo.
Think there was a news article a few months back with Americans being amused that we had a store called Poundland in the UK as it has different connotations over there.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if the sponsorship brought us more international fans after the fuss of how embarrassing some of our fans found it when the sponsor was announced.

Is it possible these guys invest with the group, NFL careers are short, they will invest their salaries in multiple areas, Trivela seems decent at the moment.
Great advertising for the saddlers.
if it’s working for Wrexham, will it be an A lister next to wear the shirt.

I follow the Seahawks. It’s going to be a rough couple of seasons but being a Walsall fan im used to it!

And me mate👍
Was lucky to see them play when I lived over there in the mid 90’s. The days of Brett Favre, Antonio Freeman, Dorsey Levens, Reggie White etc.
The Super Bowl game v The Broncos in 96 was a special memory for me, even though John Elway got the better of it that day.
Still follow them now but not as closely as I did a few years ago.

PS. You’ve done well to get tickets for that :+1:
