W 2-1 vs Barnet (A) – Sat 16th Aug, 3.00pm (League Two)

Not sure Hollman had much cance to influence the game one way or the other tbf.

Ffs you let it go!!

Your the one defending him, you don’t need to..

:joy::joy:

The bench doesn’t look right to me - again a comment on this being the bench there or thereabouts week after week.

Having two players who are 35+ as our attacking options to change the game seems like a plan destined to fail.

Can’t see that working across a season.

Including additional time he had at least 30 mins, so he probably did , I’m not in the game of slagging our own players but RAM was certainly better on Tuesday.
I also appreciate Hollman is still probably finding his feet

Not defending him no need to. Just stating my opinion

For me , we still haven’t signed our main striker.

Big signing still required.

My point wasn’t about the time allocated in the game, it was about the amount of opportunities he had within it. Can’t really remember him having moments where I thought he should have been doing any more than he did, or could have.

If she plays as a creative midfielder she might get a game against Grimsby.

Maher and harper should be in that squad after Tuesday night. Jellis shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting 11 on his form the last 8 months. Another day of hoofing it

Fair enough , but thinking about it , do you think he did as well as RAM

Well yeah, because I thought RAM played well but I also thought he got more opportunity too, that’s my point. Not sure it’s a fair comparison.

For example, on the other side, I thought Clarke played much better than Jellis, who did have chances to influence the game on multiple occasions and pretty much fluffed them all, as he has for some time. That’s the difference for me.

The hive is a bit of let down.

It’s nice shiny and new. But it’s all very non league with just 3 stands. Also I don’t like the way you can see the away fans behind gates and bars as you approach. It’s a bit like a prison!

I remember Barnet being a football league club a decade or so ago. Also they were NL champs last season. Guess I’d built my hopes up. Hope my hopes for a Saddlers win today aren’t similarly dashed.

I think that is the point, if he is the best we have, which could actually be true, it shouldn’t have been allowed to happen.

It very much feels like this is a season building to have a real push next season.

And what a sad indictment that is of the dm postion when we had 2 players ahead of him at the end of last season

I think Matt must have some real dirt on Sadler - I’m not sure how a) He got a new contract, b) keeps getting picked!!

They operate a BYOT&C policy

Exactly , we’ve gone backwards.

Its actually embarrassing that the club are allowing it to happen!

The amount they charge for a pint is definitely criminal

Centre half’s aren’t really were you rotate though tbf. Wing backs, centre mids and strikers are the work rate positions in this formation.
