W 3-0 vs Gillingham (A) - League Two - Sat 15th Aug 2026, 3pm

Ah Simeon Jackson our Canadian forward.

Was it coincidence that they’ve been experimenting with daylight offside in Canada?

Daylight? He was usually at least a week offside never mind a day. :joy:

Gillingham vs Luton on sky sports if anyone wants to see what we are up against next Saturday

Gillingham have just signed a keeper on an emergency 7 day loan

Ollie Wright injured

Was that before he was Robin Hood, or after?!!

Watching Gillngham in Carabao Cup against Luton.

They are like Land of the Giants but slow and ponderous. If we knock the ball about like we did at Bristol City I fancy our chances.

I Was just about to say the same, they look very vunerable on the flanks especially down their right hand side.

Omar Beckles looks like he’s has a mistake or two in him also.

Reece will have them on toast :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Last season away was an horrendous game of, what could loosely be described as football. Hopefully this one will be better. A good test to start the season.

Terry Simpson went there too around the same time.

Last year was two goofball teams. This season we know at least one team will want to play progressive football.
Gills lost at home yesterday, so let’s hope it’s knocked any confidence they had.
Very UTS!

Gym lady Jane said tickets have been selling ‘swiftly’ for this fixture. Will be great to see 600+ in the travelling audience next Saturday cheering the group on.

Tickets seem to be selling so swiftly that I can’t buy any online today.

I’ll post some hints and tips for members of the away gate toget the most out of their day in Gillingham later.

Away spectators are primarily located in a section of the Brian Moore Stand, situated closest to the Medway Stand, with an allocation of around 1,500 tickets. As the stand is temporary, visitors will immediately notice the exposed scaffolding structure upon entering the stadium.

Although home and away supporters have separate entrances, both sets of fans can mix in the concourse area behind the Brian Moore Stand. The stand itself is completely uncovered, meaning travelling supporters should be prepared for wet weather, although the club do provide subsidised rain ponchos when conditions require. The open nature of the stand can also make it challenging for anything other than the very best away spectators to create a strong atmosphere.

For supporters wanting a more comfortable experience, around 200 covered seats are usually available in the Gordon Road Stand. While a small number of supporting pillars near the back can slightly affect views, the roof provides valuable shelter from the elements. The stand is well elevated and offers magnificent views of the pitch and the surrounding area, while the facilities are considered impressive given the temporary nature of much of the away accommodation.

One of the more distinctive parts of an away day at MEMS Priestfield Stadium is the route to the away section. Supporters often have to navigate narrow residential streets and tight alleyways before reaching the turnstiles. Despite the unusual approach, problems are rare, although nearby roads are closed by police after matches to prevent rival spectators from crossing paths.

Gillingham enjoys significant support from its fans, and the club has attracted several famous personalities who have visited Priestfield Stadium to attend live matches. Away spectators would be forgiven for casting more than half an eye on the VIP sections with celebrities including Joe Wilkinson, Tessa Sanderson, Moira Stewart and Nick Collins all known to frequent the MEMS as it is affectionately known.

Football chants are closely associated with every club, but not all chants stand the test of time; some are quickly forgotten. Below, we have compiled a selection of the best Gillingham chants often heard at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

  • Come on you Gills

  • The Last Waltz

  • Stuart Nelson

  • Maidstone Mother F*ckers

  • The Rainham End

  • Cody MCDonald

Food and drink is available inside the stadium including Cheese Pies (£5.30) Beef Pies (£5.90) and Cream Pies (£4.95). For concessions there are a range of snacks and treats including water (£2.75) and ready salted crisps (£2.50).

A popular, and safe, watering hole for away spectators is the Cricketers, a quite superb modern family pub with a range of amenities including a cash bar facility and ladies and gentlemans toilets as well as a generous bar menu.

Walsall spectators are advised that temperatures are forecast to reach a sweltering 77f come kick off time and with the uncovered nature of much of the away allocation they should try to avoid direct sunlight as much as possible before the game, take plenty of lotion and consume a generous amount of water to stay hydrated.
