I said to the wife in the car today “Walsall won again.”.
She said “Miracles will never cease!”
I said “That’s five on the trot!”
She said “The rapture must be upon us!”
Good times.

PS last time I saw Donny we only won 2-1. Increments and all that.
Yep, good signings and valuable to the squad. If the likes of earing or comley pick up an injury or suspension, they can come in and do a job, as we have seen. It’s a squad game, why you’d want to get rid, i have no idea!
Yeah that was bizarre I said the same in the ground, they were changing something about being a greedy bastard - he’s on loan you weirdos
Interesting Phil that you are another poster that chooses the words “stumbled on” rather than admit that you may have been too hasty to judge our new head coach before he’d had time to settle in.
It would appear that he has:
Stumbled on leading a group of coaches that have given us the first thing to cheer about since Dean Smith left.
Stumbled on putting together a squad of players that are running through brick walls for him and his team
Stumbled on persisting with trying to deliver his preferred style of play, even when injuries, suspensions and other setbacks (Hussey, / Draper) have challenged him, and fans have called for him to play a different style or formation
Stumbled in continuing to believe in Jamma when most of us thought his days as a pro footballer were done - in fact some even booed him onto the pitch.
Stumbled into retaining Allen when the majority of fans wanted him gone
Stumbled into not setting the whole team around DJ despite the pressure from fans to do so.
Stumbled into signing some quality young loan players compared with some of the dross we have had in recent seasons, players that have stepped seamlessly into the team when needed.
Stumbled in his first season to not have lost three league games on the trot.
Stumbled into winning 10 and drawing 3 of his last 16 games, and as a result has got us stumbling into a playoff place.
He’s not perfect, and has made a few errors, as one might expect from a rookie manager, but it’s some stumble, and if he continues to learn, adapt and develop at the rate he is, then it won’t be too long before he’s stumbling around at a bigger club than Walsall. Just like Smith did, another manager that you never rated.
Very well put Belphegor
One thing that made me chuckle yesterday,
When they equalised, they were giving it the usual “Who are ya” but pointing furiously at a stand full of school kids. Strange lot I think.
I agree whole heartedly that the players are absolutely behind their manager, always half the battle isn’t it.
Have to pick you up on this.
His preferred style of play has been changing from the 1st game, as has the team selections and set up, apart from more recently.
I keep seeing the odd person here or there saying he’s implementing his style. The only consistent I see, is conceding shed loads of possession all season.
Didn’t the kids give it back when we went 2-1 up
I didn’t notice that to be fair but I bloody hope so! I bet the kids loved it!
It would be great to continue to give out the free school tickets for the remaining home games of the season now. Feels so much better than empty seats down both sides of the ground - even more so with the generally piss poor away attendances we usually get.
In my opinion it should be permanent. Every game. They are the future and the most obvious way to build the fanbase. They’ll all buy snacks whilst they are there, just do it. It’ll only take them a few games and many will get hooked. Just say 10 freebies per kid.
I actually don’t think the club are allowed to do that, only a few times a season. Which is actually nonsense when you think about it, for the reasons you stated. Is it really better for 1500 seats to be empty than encouraging the future fans of clubs like ours.
MS said at the meeting on Thursday in answer to a question about investment that both Gordon and Faal were costing us money so I am not sure you are correct in assuming that they are being paid by their parent clubs.
I don’t think he means that, what he means is Faal won’t be getting any more money by being at Walsall. The maximum he will be getting I would have thought is what Albion are paying him. What Albion are getting from Walsall can’t make Faal greedy. That’s how I see it anyway.
Good point…that may well be the case .Apologies to Andy.
So I’ve seen the bad from plenty of our supporters this season. Plenty of Sadler out supporters pretty much the second he was appointed and after we lost the first game at morecambe. We’ve also had plenty of fans call for his head after any loss. After a decade of a moribund club, I can understand it but I think Sadler was never given a fair chance and took the brunt for years of depressing football.
So that’s the negative part of my message. The positive part is our fans have been superb the last few games and certainly helped the team get the last 2 wins. After a decade of such garbage, we certainly appreciate a good run far more than usual and the vast majority of fans are happy to admit they pre judged Sadler far too quicky. Even if we don’t make the play offs then then I’d imagine most fans can see Sadler has a plan now and deserves next season. UTS
Not a Tierney fan at all. Stirk is half decent but little chance of getting in a midfield of Hutch, earing and Comley
