What further evidence is needed of the Trust’s complete abdication of responsibility and subjugation into a vehicle of one man’s self-aggrandisement?
The Trust no longer speak for me or champion the cause of Walsall fans. Despite some genuine people on the board, they have been co-opted into a body entirely concerned with their own interests, the chairman and secretary exist in their own defensive bubble of irrelevance.
Elections are held ‘every June’, but due to the annual general meeting being held over 20 minutes in the Pretty Bricks and with their now standard appalling lack of communication resulting in a convenient lack of attendance, the current positions are re-affirmed ‘on block’.
I would link to their website, but it is currently down, which says absolutely everything.
As a Walsall fan of near 40 years old, and a season ticket holder of about 15 years, I genuinely have no idea what the Trust do or have done in recent history really. I say that not to be critical but just that their presence, or lack of it, seems to have little to no point whatsoever.
Alternatively, plough the verdant fields of Bescot Crescent with the bloody corpses of the grasping capitalist bourgeoisie, force the collectivisation of the Walsall FC pie and chips booth, and employ comrade Kelly Brook to raise the spirits of the glorious working proletariat with her passionate recitations of socialist ordinances.
Trouble is with the Trust they have a process that they have to adhere to.
Cannot release a statement without full backing of the board and on that they can rarely agree.
If a new Trust was formed with ISSA/WSFC and current trust members you still couldn’t release a statement without a majority…as ISSA and WSFC is merely a handful its easier to release statements without anyone objecting.
Us as fans cant agree on a protest to turn our backs in unison so ■■■■ knows how we would agree on a statement…
When we put Unity together ten years ago - it wasn’t meant to be a fans group. The name was supposed to signify that we all needed to come together for a common cause.
Now more than ever ISSA and the Trust need to work together and put differences aside as the club will just be laughing at us.
