The bloke has really become a consistent quality performer over the season. Its great we have him for the full season. Unfortunately I think Southampton will loan him out into the championship next season not our level.

I'll hold up my hand and say I got it completely wrong. After a couple of performances (Scunthorpe and one when I can't recall the opposition) I thought he was never going to get anywhere near to what we had last season (although JD was one of the players of the year IMO).

At Rochdale, when he did that back 'pass' and then got told where to go when he came over to the fans and apologised at the end, I said to others that I couldn't see a way back but he's really emerged as one of our better players since then.

Fair play to him for that, and his attitude as he comes across as very committed (and not all loanees do) to WFC. Congratulations on the POTM award too.

A fantastic achievement from what he was like at the start of the season, it just goes to show what you can achieve with a bit of patience  i voted for the lad and i bet it will not go unnoticed with his parent club, putting us in good stead for further players :D . now lets see if eoghan o'connell can replicate

I think eoghan o'connell is already as good as Scott Dann was, premier league material, Jason also will make the big time if he carries on as he has so far.

Southampton must be licking their lips.

Where he may lack a little in the technical department his energy and pace more than makes up for it. Great player who comes across as a real humble lad and always shows his appreciation to the fans. Will certainly be disappointed to see him move on.

Let's not get carried away, this vote was little more than a popularity contest heavily skewed by the Saint's heavy social media influence. He's had a great month, goals always overly influence minds and stats. If it was really a judgement of player of the month, he'd not even be on top of my list of Saddlers let alone the league.

He's done a tremendous job at right-back, it's the one position I thought would be most damaged by the summer exodus. The switch to playing three at the back has really suited him too, and I think it means we're cutting out more crosses, yet concurrently allowing Jase more freedom to do what he does best, bomb on and do wrestling poses to the crowd. Long may it continue, if you consider until the beginning of May a long time ;-)

I find this so weird, as said above his goals may have skewed things but he seemed very slow and off the pace in early Jan and has gotten better game by game. If he keeps that up then I can see him walking the award in February but I am surprised he won it for January, if he hadn't scored goals and had simply assisted 5 or 6 goals I bet he wouldn't have got a look in unfortunately. I think he will show us in February how good he can be as he seems to be getting fitter game by game and taking to this wing back role.

Neither do I...he has been one of our best players for some months now and his recent form justifies his award.
