Was at Hull College at the time and went up for the weekend with a Sunderland supporting mate and a Plymouth Argyle fan who stood with me in the away end. Had an interesting night out in Newcastle later.
We played well that day and could have won - I think we hit the woodwork in the second half and a classy dummy from Kelly in the first half nearly found its way into the net.
Always found Sunderland fans ok and usually knowledgeable about football in general.
