I don’t often post on here but this is massive for us all for so many reasons.
We can be the difference, singing our hearts out from minute 1 to 90. (Hopefully)
1-0 up sing our hearts out
0-0 after 90 sing our hearts out
1-0 down turn it up and sing even louder!
It means so much for this working class, unfashionable town it means so much for us all and so much for the people no longer with us.
We dont have much but what we have is special, pound for pound the best fans in the country. Nobody wants us to win against the media darlings. Lets bring the spirit of 2001 when we where outnumbered but not out sung.Lets do this for Chris Nicholl and Sir Ray.Lets do it for the youngster’s who have not had there day in the sunshine.Lets do it for the Saddlers watching down on us.
Regardless of what happens I am proud of us as a fanbase and proud of my little working class town.
Time for someone to make themselves a hero and be applauded and cheered onto the bescot pitch in 30 years time long after retirement.
Whatever is the case i know we will get Wembley rocking and genuinely belive we will be worth a goal with noise we will bring.
Right from the top of the “Wembley tickets” thread we were saying it was all about quality this time. We’ve done the quantity thing and it wasn’t very good. I’m hoping Wombles support is similarly diluted with palace and Millwall fans who just fancy a day out on the piss and don’t really care.
Whereas we’ll have 12000 solid Walsall hearts with 5,000 people who know what it means to the 12,000 and join in the whole thing. They are extremely welcome if they go with the right mentality.
Think we shifted 33,000 last time. The 12,000 solid Walsall hearts completely lost.
I thought we would take 20/22 thousand if I’m honest, but 17 thousand is still gonna get Wembley rockin, and let’s be honest, there 27 thousand ain’t real dons fans, so i expect there end to be nowhere has loud has us UTS
Any more than 17-18k and it starts to feel like the JPT Final. Yes, 20k gives you more bragging rights but the Saddlers ‘core’ starts to get diluted and impacts the atmosphere.
We’re pretty much altogether and that should make a big difference.
My mate sent me the same at 5am this morning. I’m totally calm however for some reason. Probably still numb after the second half of the season but I’m sure it’ll kick in when I’m walking into Wembley.
Based on 800 Saddlers out sing 12,000 Preston fans on our journey to here last time, I make it they need to bring 255K to match us. I think they are a bit short😁
