25/26 Season Tickets

Belief is the key word for me. Putting aside the loss of Lowe and the January window deficiences anf Sadlers stubborness this squad is and has been more than capable of achieving the required mid table form.
I think we have got caught up in a mindset of defending our sizeable lead trying to ride out the poor results assuming the good ones will come. We now look like we don’t believe enough in ourselves to get a win. We didn’t force the issue in tbe second half at Bromley when a win was there for us. Yesterday the performance was much better than the 2 recent home losses and the win was there for us. We are now in a position that we can’t just defend our top 3 spot. The other teams will take it from us. Hopefully this will change the mindset and we will force the issue next weekend

I knew I’d typed something similar to this before. Lo and behold, exactly 24 years ago to the day!

Having led the table following a great start we were having a bit of a torrid time under Sir Ray. This was a Graydon Out thread. We ended up going up via the play-offs.

24 years ago. Where does the time go? And what the bleedin hell am I doing still on here?

That made me laugh! Looks like this place was exactly the same even during the glory years!

That’s fook all to London folk with their wages yar …

Jesus wept…

There’s something in that. Visiting family 'up north, I went to Oldham on Saturday (v Halifax). There were getting on for seven and a half thousand in and in the big, single stand behind the goal (once the away end before they switched us to the far end), Oldham fans never stopped singing all game, thousands of them.
The atmosphere was incredible - the football, though, was probably the worst I have ever seen in a professional game. Worse than pub football.

I’d love to go back to the days at bescot in the old Gilbert Alsop terrace…that oldham promotion game was noise…anxiety…everything mixed together. You simply don’t get it now at bescot. Atmosphere is dreadful most games…even if we have 8k in. Lost it when we built the 2 tier stand.
Miss the Street end too and being pushed down from the very back when we scored…proper atmosphere :ok_hand:

probably will be closer to 9k in for wimbledon game with the away support and the schools offer and not having played at home for a few weeks.
i don’t agree when people say we can’t make a racket and a good atmosphere behind the goal .
we can generate a huge noise when everyone is behind the team and raising there voices in support of the team which i think is now needed more ever.

We can be the 12th man on saturday. UTS

Atmosphere at Bescot this season has been good, the best since we went all-seater. I have really enjoyed it bar the Grimsby game when it all got a bit toxic. Its a myth that loads of teams have noisy home fans and we dont. Hardly a peep out the Gillingham fans last week and you would think a chance to beat the leaders at home would have them fired up.

probably be the biggest crowd since we played leicester in the FA cup but more importantly our actual supporters who want to get behind the the team hopefully rather than coming because of the premiership opposition.

The Vale fans were rubbish at their place as well. Especially when you consider it was 1st Vs 2nd against local rivals.

Since Bonser sodded off I actually think the atmosphere at Bescot has been an awful lot better, and I used to be very critical of it.

Ive sat in the away end with mates on a few occasions over the last couple of seasons and its been decent. Especially, as others have said, in comparison to other clubs

I believe the lack atmosphere at the Bescot has been caused by a number of reasons, poor performances, lack of away supporters, low turnouts, to name a few, but make no mistake when everyone starts singing altogether the place can really make some serious noise.

Don’t get blaming the lack of a low roof, or the building of the upper stand, at the end of the day its the lack of everyone joining in.

So I ask can everyone please get their voices ready for our remaining home games and make some noise, not just at the start, but the whole game and help our team over the line.

I’m sure those that moan about the atmosphere at Bescot rarely travel to away games.

I do and I’ve moaned about the atmosphere at our home games. Half the time no-one is bothered

Well, anyone on here that knows you mucka will agree that you and the boys around you at the back of block 3, do more than your bit to create an atmosphere.

Give em a Mossive shout for me tomorrow, as despite how loud I’m shouting, they probably won’t hear me from southern Spain.

Wish I could be with you :pensive:

Well, after many many years, I have made the decision not to renew on the early bird. I will see what division we are in and how we recruit this summer because this capitulation has been embarrassing and I am fed up of false dawns.
