Accrington Stanley (A) 26th October 3pm

Is this the Birmingham/ Black Country frequency problem again? You should be able to get both. I can, just about, when I’m in Shrewsbury. They’re not competing on the same frequency. If you go into ’ scan,’ there should be at least two options for BBC WM- possibly one has a ? after it. Retune to another WM option. It’s likely to be B’ ham.

Bromley 1 Barrow 1 (90 + 1min)

Oh, and Brighton 2 Dingles 0 (85 min) … EDIT, now 2-1 (88 min)

Bless you Dingles

More corners

In time added on we have our 10th corner … what a good time it would be to score!!

FT 0-0. Probably a fair result

I have tried scanning and moving the radio around…I just cannot get the Black Country service.

Thought we probably shaded it but didn’t really think we looked like a top 3 team today.

Take the point away from home - and we move on. Can’t win em all.

Thought Jellis Stirk and back 3 looked solid. Lowe had some nice moments, but Barrett was quiet today. Simkin also looked better and more confident today.

Accrington did today what I suggested a while back if I where a manager - sit back a little and let us have the ball. I don’t think we are the best when we have the ball for more phases of play… we are a bit of a heavy metal team: strong fast and good on the break.

Thought the subs were a bit late as well.

I think the weaker links today were Gordon, Lakin and Matt.

Gordon’s final ball is not great - to put it mildly. Wasted a few moments today and frustrates me. Caveat is he’s brilliant in the other two thirds. His decision making in the final third is oftentimes poor. That’s why he’s in league two.

Lakin… anonymous for large periods. Earing must be pushing him for a start.

Matt…. I get he’s a nuisance but some of his hold up play today was really poor. Didn’t understand why Lowe came off instead of him.

All in all, we take the point. I don’t expect us to play like world beaters every week, but thought we were a 6/10 today - but looked better than Accrington.

Thought we shaded it overall, particularly the last 20 minutes, but a good point nonetheless

Stirk was my MOM

Should of won but fair play to Stanley a good point away from home

Point and a clean sheet away from home. Shows the progress when some will be disappointed with that.

Maybe it time to rest a couple of players or try and stop any complacency as the starters seems to know they are defo gonna start lately

Strange.

10-man Swindon Town (since the 9th minute!) 1 Gillingham 1 (90 + 3min)

I’ll take that.

We are still averaging 2 points per game.
Carry on like that and we’ll give ourselves an excellent chance of automatic promotion.

Wonder if their goalscorer gets a cash bonus…

I think we shaded it but another point away from home. On to the next one UTS

Thanks for your advice. I find it very frustrating. I might consider paying for the audio stream but I hear there are problems with that sometimes.Perhaps I should consider going to away matches again!!!

There will be some changes next week for the cup match .

Both teams played well and had some good chances, but that extra bit of quality left in the dressing room. At least there is cleansheet, which is good for the defence.
