Accrington Stanley (H) 26th April, 3pm

Incremental progress was always nonsense. Maybe not off the pitch but on it, you have a two year window. Then all your best players are sold or run their contracts down, and the dregs are released.

Rinse and repeat.

I think it hurts so much not only because of how long we have waited, but how long we will probably have to wait again. I am 50 this year and I’m not sure I will see us get promoted again, unless we fall far down the pyramid. You never know though, I guess. Wasted opportunity.

If Bradford don’t beat Fleetwood, who have absolutely nothing to play for, then I’ll donate £50 to any charity of your choice (as long as it’s got nothing to do with Gaza!). We might as well use the Crewe game to try a new formation and give DJ and Wheatley a game. Bradford are not going to bottle this like we have!

What’s Paul Gascoigne done to upset you…?

This is true

Understandably much of Saturdays match has been overshadowed by wider issues, but I’d like to know what others felt about the ref. I read somewhere he was American who had officiated in the MLS, and was highly thought of.
At first I thought he was ok, especially on a couple of occasions at the start where he played advantage after fouls, but then went back to talk to the offending player when the play stopped. After a while this wore thin for me - he kept talking when he should have been using his cards. The most annoying aspect was when instead of using his cards to stop time wasting, esp by their keeper, he kept pointing at his watch- implying he would add the time on. Despite loads of subs, a couple of lengthy genuine injuries and endless instances of time wasting, he only added on 6 minutes.
We wouldn’t have scored on Saturday if we’d played til Britains Got Talent came on telly, but is everyone else totally pissed off with the repeated failures by officials to deal with blatant time wasting?

How about this for a scenario: Sadler says “fcuk it, I’m starting with Wheatley against Crewe and putting DJ on the bench - it’s sht or bust time”. Wheatley scores a brace and we beat Crewe. We then go into the play-offs with some confidence and Wheatley scores the winner in the second leg against Salford. He then scores again at Wembley, along with a Taylor Allen goal straight from a corner and we beat Notts County 2-1 to win promotion! Sadler is hailed as a tactical genius and gets a 10-year contract extension and has a statue erected outside the Bezla!

He totally wasted his talent when he should have led us to victory in the 1994 World Cup

If you wanted so badly to donate money to charity you had the perfect opportunity last week when a coach load of kids needed funds for a day out at Drayton Manor…

Yep, I mentioned it to the kids on Saturday. The right amount of time never gets added on and injury time basically gets wasted by subs and players going down (apart from us at Cheltenham obviously)

Most games warrant 10 minutes now just for the subs and the blatant amount of time wasting.

It wasn’t that long ago that we regularly had double figure injury time. That was until Pep and his pals began complaining that players were getting too tired and more prone to injury, so the powers that be seemed to ease off. I’m afraid giving fans value for money is not high on the authorities priority lists.

That game, and that lack of substitutions, game management and keeping Jellis cost us the season. That was the turning point because we had two back to back wins and for 80 mins basically took the piss..

Hold on against Cheltenham and we wouldn’t have lost against Swindon, probably won it, and most of those nervy draws become wins.

That’s why it’s on Sadler for me.

You could see the shock on the players faces after Cheltenham and quite a few posters predicted it was a major turning point.

The board went up with a minimum of 6 minutes.
Accrington made two substitutions in stoppage time and the ref blew on 6:38.
Farce.

I think it was the Crewe home game, can’t remember how many minutes were added now, but pretty much all of them were wasted with the game stopped and when it restarted he blew the whistle. I think we could have got a winner too, we were well on top at that point.

If you are serious I will let you know the charity after the match on Saturday!! It will be a local charity.

Then there was the blatant shirt pull on Jamma in the penalty area. Not a brief tug that the pundits might say, ‘Not enough for me’, but a prolonged pull that impeded Jamma. Penalty all day long.

Must have missed that!

Certainly. But I can’t see Bradford bottling it!

I watched and mentioned to my mate as Jamma had to tug his collar to get the shirt back in place this has happened numerous times although he did for once get some protection from the ref, who was overall fair / decent

No wonder Banks pulled out of the sponsorship. They realised there was more bottling going on in Bescot than all the breweries in the country.

Its 2 days later and im still absolutely gutted - like all of us are.

Its not helped living in Shrewsbury where, even though they are gash beyond imagination, they are laughing at US! Plus with your sprinking of Wrexham and Liverpool fans round here just makes it 10x worse.

How has this happened?
