We’re in that ā€œAway day, lump ball, bollocksā€ territory, ay we.

Conor Wilkinson levels for the Moors at home to Hartlepool (38 min)

It’s a blustery day I’d like the ball on the ground because when it’s in the air our centre halves just miss time their jumps.

Game got more scrappy as the half went on but their starting to control thing a bit now, would take 0-0 at half time. Good battle though, about what you’d expect.

Okague completely lost his man on that last corner.

Give it time. Josh Gordon more or less said on commentary a few matches ago what I suspected. That our main aim up to 55-60 minutes is to stay in contention. If they go ahead, it’s a bonus, but I think we’re confident we can pull away in the last 30 minutes or so.

Very scrappy game get the ball down second half. Allen has looked poor

That’s 4 fouls for Lewis, and no yellow

Ref making a mockery of his decision to book Matt now

The ref gave Jamma a decision!!

Hmmm. Not great.

Think they shaded that half without really creating anything…

Hall for Lakin is the first change - we need some energy and creativity in there. I think Lowe was essentially anonymous that half and Matt… was Matt having his weekly wrestling match.

If we aren’t going to feeding Matt with much, I’d get DJ on earlier - this could be the type of game where one scrappy chance in the box gives you the win. Who better?

On the two occasions Barrett has got the ball in their half - he’s caused problems. He needs to be in the game a lot more.

Not the best half, but not conceding is the big positive. I hope we can come out with a lot more attacking intent and a bit more aggression.

Happy to hear the half time whistle after that half of non football.Tough conditions to be fair but we have caused our own problems at the back.

Very pleased to go into half time level. They’ve had the wind all half there, thankfully we’ve defended well to keep us level. I expect the tide will turn second half and we start to get on top.

Bar the first ten minutes - poor.

Not convinced with Dave and DD, Tails seems off it today and Stirky aint been much better with some of his passes/clearances.

Jamma getting nothing for his efforts again, except for a ridiculous yellow.

Hall on and a change up front for me, thatll probably be 65mins it though wont it.

A scrappy half to be fair. Two decent teams figuring each other out.

We looked like we tired with 5 to go but even at the break is positive (using last visit here as benchmark).

Some of our usage of ball has been wayward - Allen, Dave, Daniels giving cause for a few awkward moments.

They’re doing a good job stifling Jellis and Barrett on the right so need to find a way around that.

All to play for still

Not much in this half, but who will make better decisions now, probably will be victorious.

Thought the ref has been good to be honest. Has given what he’s had to but not given things where players have gone down with the slightest of contact. Has let it be a competive contest and let it flow.

In fairness Jamma did flick out a bit of an elbow for his card, so whether intentional or not can’t complain.

It’s all a bit League 2 ain’t it.

Donervon gives me butterflies every time he’s on the ball.

Second half Saddlers to come.

Agree with that.

Taylor Allen seems to have forgotten how to kick a football. I know it’s windy but he was very clumsy (including from corners). Spooned two or three straight up in the air.

I thought we were lucky not to have a penalty given against Stirk. Not sure what Matt’s booking was for.

I’d take this now and scarper. That said, it’s exactly the type of game that our sides who’ve won automatic promotion would find a way to win.

Currently 3rd with games in hand of the surrounding teams, if it’s like that at full time I’d be well happy.
