Got a good cross on him, too.
Seems like he is equally comfortable with both feet, which is a rare thing.

The game turned on Wimbledon’s attempt to get Jamma sent off with their defender feigning a face injury. It broke up our dominance and the ref contrived to stop the game and give them the ball, when I thought we were in possession, a situation they scored from.
With so much unpunished pushing, pulling and gamesmanship, Wimbledon have carried on from the Dons of old. Horrible team.
Great engine - up and down. Would only improve with better understanding of teammates movement.
My lad has been raging about that since the game finished.
As I remember it, though, they had the last touch of the ball before the game was stopped, so they get the ball. I think the rule could do with looking at to be fair, I think it worked against us in another home game this season. That is how it works at the moment though.
Hard to understand why it took Barrett to be suspended for him to get a real chance. I’d imagine he could easily play the left side also if needed. Wasn’t even on the bench for ages.
Any chance of us picking him up for next season?
The Old Wimbledon (who don’t exist anymore) were hard. In this example, this NewCo player clearly tried to cheat.
I did something i never thought I’d do today… i called up the football wm phone in!
Theres no need for the negativity- it wont change shit now. Need to create what we did in the 2nd half today for the rest of the season. The fact that asimwe, chang and hall are looking like contenders is a major boost. The fact noone else seems to want to take our spot is a boost.
7 cup finals.
Thoughts on today. First half was dreadful. We couldn’t string two passes together and were fortunate to go in level at the break.
Second half much better but lacking the quality to break them down.
In the end probably a fair result.
Problem is that’s no wins in 7.
Saying that I’d be happy with 2 more draws in the next 2 games.
Anything more is a bonus.
This season feels like 2 seasons rolled into one.
I’m drained!
I’m getting fed up of watching Matt taking part in wrestling matches all the way through the game, he doesn’t do much going forward, maybe it would be best to take Matt out of the equation and replace him with someone like Hall who could engineer chances for his teammates.
I know he wasn’t fit today but Harrison could replace Matt if we decided to play balls into feet rather than aim high balls to Matt, which he hardly ever wins. Because as you say he spends most of his time wrestling. Doesn’t even look at the ball a lot of the time.
Hall has a touch of class about him but I think he is a way off being able to play 60 minutes based on today. Could be a big player for us in the remaining games.
It’s a safe assumption to say that this applies to our other signings who have been marginalised by the management
There is something of the Billy Large Potatoes about Jellis. His recent performances don’t back that up, unfortunately!!
I said this a few weeks back, if a player goes down with a head injury which makes the referee stop the game, why isn’t the player made to go off?
The fact their player held his face for probably a minute, rolled around, waited for the referee to stop the game, then miraculously got up and jogged away. 30 seconds later if that, they score.
It’s wrong.
As Sven Goran Erickson used to say: First half good, second half bad!! I think we just shaded it today. AFC Wimbledon were pretty woeful going forward- they improved immeasurably when they brought the number 9 on - he was very dangerous. It’s still in our hands - we just need to find some spark going forward.
First half of the season, that is!
I highlighted it at the time, ref just drops the ball to their players feet and they go and score.
It didn’t feel right to me, especially with the player feigning injury.
Said earlier that I’ve seen us promoted with Nicholl, Graydon, Money…can’t remember any of them feeling this painful.
That said, we’ve never been stuck in this god forsaken league this long, have a feeling that is part of it.
Tbf I don’t think Chang was 100% when he came in.
Assimwe is bizarre as I thought he may not be up to standard but he definitely is.
Unsure what to think about Wheatley I expected much more.
Lipsuic can’t comment on.
My honest view on today was
I think those teams were coached and managed by good solid managers who understood consistency. We are just erratic.
They should go off like when the physio comes on we see it all the time hold the face ref stops the game for a head injury asked the player if there ok do they want the physio on player says no then player gets up and carries on physio should come on assess player then they should go off for a period of time to recover from said head Injury
