Although it is a neutral ground (N), it is being billed as AFC Wimbledon vs Walsall - so are we technically the away side?

@KingCrod what time should we be in our allocated seats for?

In Football Manager it would be (N), so I’m sticking with that!

Wembley Stadium connected by EE is never an easy place to go as our sole previous visit and recent visits by our near friends and neighbours can testify. Lets hope we can get our spectator section absolutely rocking, which it should be with a bumper Saddlers audience in excess of fifteen thousand anticipated, and end this memorable season on a real high, cementing this team and managers status in Walsall folklore.

I expect Sadler to take a belt and braces approach to the game and will prepare a suite of measures to try and counteract Wimbledons status as the meanest defence in League 2. The team picks itself from the play-off semi’s for me.

It will no doubt be absolutely nerve shredding and incredibly tight but I fancy us for a 1-0 victory.

As we finished higher in the league, shouldn’t we be classed as the home team?

That’s what I was thinking. Also, we got there before them and had to wait to see whose name also went on the match programme.

Ah, but Wimbledon is nearer to Wembley than Walsall, both geographically and acoustically.

… the perverse logic of the EFL

It’s alphabetically arranged so AFC Wimbledon is before Walsall.

Alphabetical order for all of the matches.

Only because they cheated then, by putting the AFC before their name otherwise WA Vs Wi!

I call shenanigans. Shenanigans I tell you!

Doesn’t the designated ‘home’ team have the West End of Wembley, as we did against Bristol City?

A bit like Chesterfield running out onto the pitch first.
It’ll come back to bite them on the arse!!

I’ve heard we are changing to Aardvark Walsall.

Yeeeh, that’s right. If the league try to fine us for our pitch invasion, we should appeal on the basis that they started it!

My take too.

Alphabetical isn’t Wimbledon are bizarrely also listed under A for the AFC part.
Bollox twice in one day, I post, get to the bottom of the thread and realise I’ve repeated what someone else has already posted.
Apologies @Locky

The odds have shifted. Too close to call yesterday, Wimbledon are now clear favourites. Odds for the draw seem to have shortened as well.

Just the way we like it
