AFC Wimbledon (N) - League 2 Play-Off Final, Mon 26th May, 3:01 pm

Now us not the tine for knee jerk reactions. We need to digest and dissect the season as a whole and where it ultimately went wrong, which was well before today.

According to Dirty Barry, Sadlers interview on Sky suggests he’s already been assured he’s staying to lead our 25/26 challenge but there is likely to be some changes to the playing staff.

Not gone through the match thread - but WTF was that??? They were absolute trash and somehow we were worse.

Im stunned at how bad we were.

Got to meet @superjorge and @TheRedPrince on the train though - so minor wins.

Who would be happy right now? Just a perpetual cycle of crap.

Walsall are crap, string you along make you believe then just bend over and get done by every other club. Chesterfield took it better, think we robbed them!

Weather is shit, government is shit trying to dim the sun and give away our land and then paying to keep it…

Everything is more expensive for no good reason.

Work hard all week just to sustain the same standard of living which is about 5% better than if I did f-all on universal credits.

Everything is just gash.

Yep, like the best striker at the club leaving…

To not have him on the bench in a game you simply must win, and especially as flash was dropped from it for a right back, is just bonkers

And?. You said he was shit and he wasn’t. You not liking him doesn’t remove the fact he made several key challenges and won all his headers.

Foul throw and some gash forward passes, last 4 games he’s barely put a foot wrong.

Don’t remember any decent passes for defence today to be honest.

Just read back through the threads since start of February, it’s all set out there for the club to see, free of charge.

Won his headers by heading it straight back to the opposition putting us under more pressure. Has done all season. Thank god you’re not a manager

Where can I see the interview

Well, apart for regularly finding himself on the wrong side of his man, never seen that in a defender before.

If he could sort out a method X2 v Chesterfield why couldn’t he do it against a more rudimentary Wimbledon team?

I’m okay tar. Pales in significance compared to today and the past 4 months

I’m genuinely staggered that someone is sticking up for Dave. Foot like a brick and a head like a 50p coin. Utter garbage.

Yeah, his errors make him stand out more as they are often so glaring but his tackles and commitment at times get overlooked. He made sone key tackles today. He just isn’t that good when he has the ball.

But, for me, our defence is so culpable at not being able to clear their lines or head the ball away effectively. We either have no plan of where to head it, or no anticipation of where it will go, repeatedly giving the ball back or away in dangerous places, heaping pressure on us. Head the ball towards the width rather than down the middle!:man_facepalming:

“Trivela…”. The worst thing to happen to Walsall FC since Jeff Bonser…. And the best thing to happen to Jeff Bonser since Walsall FC.

We get American owners mentored by Pinocchio Pomshyte. And some people are amazed when things don’t improve ON THE PITCH. Really??

Dave is the main culprit for that. He’s completely braindead

Like Williams then?

I’m not qualified to be a manager, didn’t claim to be in the running for manager, are you in sixform or something?

You can’t see occasional effective play in a player you dislike because of bias.

Gaffers insight

As for the game it was always going to be decided by a set piece really given how average both teams are on the rare occasions it was on the ground.

Even the disappointment of losing Harry to injury after half an hour is tempered by him just being excluded by Sadler for a month given he’d probably agreed a pre contract with someone else at that point. He returns and the defence magically improves.

I’m not convinced any of the 91 managers in employment in league football would’ve done a worse job than Sadler has from late January onwards. Form, tactics, signings, preparation for big games, he’s failed at everything.

I think Dave is conference standard. Just my opinion.
