Now us not the tine for knee jerk reactions. We need to digest and dissect the season as a whole and where it ultimately went wrong, which was well before today.
According to Dirty Barry, Sadlers interview on Sky suggests he’s already been assured he’s staying to lead our 25/26 challenge but there is likely to be some changes to the playing staff.
Who would be happy right now? Just a perpetual cycle of crap.
Walsall are crap, string you along make you believe then just bend over and get done by every other club. Chesterfield took it better, think we robbed them!
Weather is shit, government is shit trying to dim the sun and give away our land and then paying to keep it…
Everything is more expensive for no good reason.
Work hard all week just to sustain the same standard of living which is about 5% better than if I did f-all on universal credits.
Yeah, his errors make him stand out more as they are often so glaring but his tackles and commitment at times get overlooked. He made sone key tackles today. He just isn’t that good when he has the ball.
But, for me, our defence is so culpable at not being able to clear their lines or head the ball away effectively. We either have no plan of where to head it, or no anticipation of where it will go, repeatedly giving the ball back or away in dangerous places, heaping pressure on us. Head the ball towards the width rather than down the middle!
As for the game it was always going to be decided by a set piece really given how average both teams are on the rare occasions it was on the ground.
Even the disappointment of losing Harry to injury after half an hour is tempered by him just being excluded by Sadler for a month given he’d probably agreed a pre contract with someone else at that point. He returns and the defence magically improves.
I’m not convinced any of the 91 managers in employment in league football would’ve done a worse job than Sadler has from late January onwards. Form, tactics, signings, preparation for big games, he’s failed at everything.
