My biggest worry is his fitness. He seems to have had a number of injuries but his goal scoring record is decent and if he has pace that will be something we currently lack.
Does this signing mean we may be playing using the midfield more than just hoofball.
I seriously hope so, just need to bring in some quality strikers now to complement him.
This is excellent. We have a real leader in the midfield and with Flint in defence a couple of players that will demand the highest standard from their team mates
Please please stay fit
Going by some of the opinions of Sadlerās managerial ability given on here, thatās the replacement for Cox sorted. ![]()
BTW Was Okeke signed before or after Hancock got injured? i.e. was he only stopgap cover for Harper/Barrett until Hancock was fit again (which is supposedly not far off), or was he always supposed to be in the mix? If the former, do we need to replace him during the window or not if Mason will be back before or not too long after the window closes?
We are definitely short of an extra striker option that Stuttle would have provided (taking it as read that Kanu was always part of the plan and not an afterthought due to his injury).
Just trying to work out whether to expect just 3 bodies brought into the squad to replace the 3 loanees going back, or do we need more than that - and thus an even bigger squad on the books that we had at the end of the August window. ![]()
12 goals and 8 assists in 66 games for Bradford I read.
Not naming any names, weāve had strikers with worst numbers than that.
But strikers donāt need to score goals ![]()
Anyone seen his missus?
Sheāll fit right in in the OAP stand ![]()
Welcome to Walsall Alex. Hope you get another tattoo after you get promoted with us.
cracking signing. A leader with promotion. Experience. Also got legs and loves to press.
Hope the club have similar signings lined up.
For a 28 year old he must of had a hard paper round himself ..
By the way Alex if you read any of this welcome to our Gallows humour ā¦
After.
Jid was signed on deadline day, Mason dislocated his knee the week before against Grimsby.
You definitely have an eye for talent ![]()
So likely that we wonāt be looking for another WB then?
Exactly my thoughts. Probably waited to see what was happening with Finnegan before moving quite sharply once they knew.
Ive been saying that for a while, Cook will get goals, hold up the ball, and create plenty for Kanu. Iād be happy with 18 months from him
I donāt honestly now how we would cope with that ![]()
No way Cooky would ever set foot at the Belza. The anger between our drunken yobboās and Cook at Accrington and our āfansā in general, (when he was personally blamed for such a poor team performance) would be an almost impossible rift to ever be healed.
Or, conversely, it could be a story of redemptionā¦
If the wages are right, heād come back, Iām sure.
I read somewhere this evening that our new signing had a training ground bost up with Cooky at Bradford.
