Agree with most of that but also he didn’t waste energy in trying to do the impossible .His interceptions were well timed and he was a class above everyone else on the pitch. Hopefully he can reproduce that sort of form every week.
This is where I genuinely hope Sadler learns. We’ve got yet another lethal striker on loan. He’s massively confident taking on last defenders and keepers and very effective in the skill of his execution in those situations. But if we limit ourselves to creating those situations to pressing and robbing opponents rather than from our own possession and creativity then those situations will surely be fewer. Likewise the trajectory of balls into Matt or whoever is playing the Matt role. Straight or even diagonal punts are useless compared to proper crosses that arise from the flank around the angle level to the line where he’s attacking the defender. It just gives our attacking options so much better a percentage chance of success. It’s simple, it’s “old fashioned” but there’s a reason these simple principles have been around for ever…. It’s because they work!! Especially at this level. Personally with that in mind I would be starting Adomah ahead of Barrett. Reverse the “finishers” bring the latter on to run at tired defences and forget Albert as a forward “finisher”.

Agree mate - though I’d probably add Courtney to Roberts, Flint, Pattison, and Kanu too.

And Barrett, the best right back in the league.

I think we can all agree that Pattison made a difference against Tranmere even though apparently he isn’t fit and is still feeling his way round. I think we need at the very least another midfielder in the pattison mold and another striker. If we don’t and Pattison and Kanu get injured we could well be back to square one again.

Having Pattison here may well drive other players on to up their games… he is a terrific signing at the right time… quality and proven at L2… agreed, another like him and a decent striker and we will be a force..
6 points from next 2 games and same performances and others will take note that little WFC aint to mess with… UTS.
