They also say he’s been a regular in their u21s for a few months now, so he should be fine in terms of game time.
I hope you’re right, but it wasn’t just his hold up play that was poor - his touch and movement was very lacking. Maybe time with the squad will help, but it looks like a big step up for him.
Looks a good signing for me, adds competition and cover. Plenty of upwards potential.
Anyone who’s not a 20+ goal proven goal scorer is going to be seen as a disappointment to a lot of people. But don’t think we need Fabrizio Romano to tell us at this stage that that’s not going to happen. This signing makes sense to. The Levi Amantchi less so at the time but happy to trust Sadlers’ judgement.
Well, at least we are not buying has-beens or, as in the past, never-beens.
I’d be happy to keep DJ and not sign anyone!
I slightly disagree in that other than the striker situation and hopefully what Chang can bring in midfield it is about the squad. We look at our worse when we haven’t got options to rotate rather than strengthen. Obviously if we have got in players we can rotate who don’t weaken us that is by proxy strengthening.
I think our biggest problem Lowe aside was not having depth in the last few matches. I know Chang on paper is a DM but I think we will utilise him more as a box to box type with high energy we see from current crop. I just hope his fitness holds.
As Bags said also fit enough to come off the bench in the cup too
Interesting MS says he can bring quality to forward areas but Blues stated he is more of a DM perhaps a bit more vertsitial than we first thought
·
Why would he need international clearance? Sorry to be thick.
·
International clearance to cross spaghetti junction
Good luck to the lad, but its not a defensive midfielder we need it’s 2 attacking midfielders, ya can cover Stirk with Comley and Lakin
We can’t afford to be that picky
You lot are a right bunch of moaning Minnie’s!!
I’m just enjoying the cut and thrust. Whoever we bring in will give us more bodies and options for Mat.
Now let’s have a couple more!
I get the sentiment mate. But i think we are quite within our rights to have a moan/feel a bit worried that theres no real quality (proven by the way) and experience amongst those bodies being bought it.
Really not liking this transfer window so far. Pinning a lot of our hopes of getting over the line, now on inexperienced and practically unproven talent.
If i were BB, I’d be really pushing the boat out now to get us to League 1. Speculate to accumulate and all that.
Not impressed so far.
Let’s all give the lad a chance, I’ve only heard positive things about him from Blues fans I know.
Welcome Alfie
I’ve heard lots of good things about Alfie Chang, hopefully this is a shrewd pick up
We heard the same about George Hall from the bluenoses, he never looked fit to me and looked frightened to death of getting an injury which he did, he didn’t contribute anything, why have another injury prone player, are we the bluenoses A&E department ffs.
Is the Shrew in competition with the Mole and the Dog as well now?
I thought Hall was just starting to show his quality and then had that inevitable injury. The issue is that it took him 3 months to get up to that speed, which isn’t ideal. Hopefully, they’re both ready to go.
Agreed hall was turning into a class player with his confidence coming back and pace to burn which is super rare at this level for a cm
Gutted he got injured
