That’s a cracking effort from Grimsby if true.

I’m surprised by the numbers for Salford, I thought they would be less than a hundred.

That’s fantastic from Grimsby
Can’t even play at Scunthorpe either these days!
Obviously geography plays a part. If miles travelled could be factored in too perhaps
Some debate on the internet about the above figures in the OP. Some think the below numbers are the correct ones.
1552 Wrexham
1258 Mansfield Town
1163 Stockport County
1126 Notts County
1093 Bradford City
867 Grimsby Town
695 Doncaster Rovers
687 Gillingham
679 Walsall
669 Swindon Town
657 Tranmere Rovers
597 AFC Wimbledon
566 Crewe Alexandra
498 MK Dons
414 Barrow
355 Newport County
349 Colchester United
337 Morecambe
245 Sutton United
225 Accrington Stanley
223 Crawley Town
187 Forest Green Rovers
186 Salford City
173 Harrogate Town
Match day atmosphere for Harrogate, Salford and Accrington virtually non existent. Inevitably meaning these will be the ‘reduced offer’ games
I suppose the really interesting number is the ratio to the average home following.

Ours has been good for a while now, helped by different fans/fan groups putting on affordable travel for so many

As others have mentioned…. Awesome effort by Grimsby if the stats are true

It all means diddly in my view.
As we are central to the whole country it could be noted that our away numbers are poor.
Perhaps, to an extent you are right, although Walsall were a bit unusual last season in that they didn’t really have a local derby (or 2) which would have bumped up the away average. See map.
Would hope we’d be 1000+ if we are around the playoffs or higher next season.

Mind you, looking at that we are a bit isolated so possibly the complete reverse of my original thoughts.

Yes, according to that map we were the team with the closest club being furthest away. I assume that will be true next season as well, with Vale our closest.
I think the map is a bit misleading I think Port Vale is closer to Walsall than Morecombe is to Barrow - at least in terms of driving distance.

Losing Mansfield and Forest Green has made us even more isolated.

Won’t Cheltenham and Chesterfield counteract that?
But Cheltenham is closer than FGR, and Vale is closer than Mansfield. And Fleetwood is closer than Crawley as well, plus Chestyfeels is another midland ground and a similar distance from Walsall as Wrexham is.
Carlisle though…
It is in terms of driving, by 10 miles, but not as the crow flies. The former is more important.
