Dropping Williams because he won’t sign a contract will have caused upset in the squad.

Or spaffing a 15 point lead and blowing our first promotion push in years, persisting with players out of form despite saying he has a good squad…the list goes on.
I would expect our relationships with potetial loan clubs wiĺl have dipped.

Lets not forget also that when Sadler was first at Walsall as a player, he turned down a contract offer and went to sign for the mighty Crawley Town…he was then offered a new contract by Crawley but fannied around signing it to the extent that Crawley withdrew the contract offer!!
This is how things work, you would think that Sadler would understand that, but alas no it would seem.

Said it yesterday before we even kicked a ball that I’d rather have an out of form Stirk starting than Brandon Comley anywhere near this team.Brandon wouldn’t get a start in the league below in my own personal opinion.

It’s only the let’s be honest on current form false league position that’s keeping Sadler in a job.If we were in the bottom 5 he’d be unemployed.
My wife, who knows nothing about football, used to pretend to be mad at me when I’d be singing the Nathan Lowe song every time he scored.
The Notts County away game this season is in my top ten favourite games, not because of the win, but because my son got to see what it truly meant to be a Walsall fan.
Sadler has talked a lot about togetherness and making memories.
On the positive side, we can still achieve the dream of promotion.
However, my wife repeatedly tells me, “without Nathan Lowe, you’d be nowhere near.” I can’t help thinking that the players are beginning to realise this harsh reality…

I can’t help thinking that Byfield would play all the young players and release the handbrake.
I think Harrogate is D-day for Sadler. Without victory, he needs to walk away.

I think Sadler is panicking now. He’s made more changes in the past couple of games than he has with the previous 15 games put together. It’s a bit late now. I honestly can’t see us getting more than 1 point in the next 4 games. Jellis proved yesterday that he’s not in the right frame of mind. I don’t think Sadler has been in the right frame of mind since January, he’s been delusional, just reeling the same tat out with his staged ‘interviews’ with the media team. Yesterday also showed that the fans have finally lost confidence in Sadler, once you lose the confidence of the fans then it’s all downhill from their. It’s the beginning of the end for Sadler, even if by some miracle we manage promotion via the playoffs.

The loan players must be absolute gash if they can’t get ahead of Comley . We all know now they were just cover for his favourites

Let’s face it he won’t be going anywhere and he won’t play the likes of Williams or Chang.
Neither will he change the system.
To do so would be an admission that has got it wrong and that isn’t him.
For the next 4 games I fully expect more of the same with a return of 2 points at most.

Maybe that’s the answer. Arrive early next week and kidnap Comley/ Daniel’s/ Jellis/ Barrett and Liam Gordon.

Not disputing what you’re saying Sid but its illusiary change rather than meaningful. Its just “deckchairs on the Titanic” essentially.
Asiimwe turned in one mediocre half and vanishes back to the naughty step, because he can’t wait to get Connor back in. Midfielders dip in and out, but never Jellis, and never the new lads. The formation remains the same, Matt could be on a zimmer frame and he would still start, the look on his face when he was trying to run yesterday was of a man doing something that hurt rather than came naturally. Adomah still gets minutes up front ahead of actual centre-forwards etc etc. Its all very familiar when you scratch the surface.

We tend to think that football is different to any other place of work. It is different but not that different.
Imagine anywhere you’ve worked where the bosses get brand spanking new deals at much improved terms with the directors of the company going public on how happy they all are. Then you as a worker, with time running down on your own security are being nickel and dimed. The “values” and “mission” of the organisation all contain the word “together” and hitherto the culture of the place has lived those values and mission. And in doing so the organisation has been able to punch well above its weight.
Anywhere, not just football, you’d see productivity dropping, discretionary effort diminishing and workers looking elsewhere. When somebody resigns all eyes on how the organisation reacts to the first breach. The first resignee a young unassuming lad who’s only been at the place for 18 months but nevertheless performed beyond all expectations and become a really trusted and valuable member of the team.
Management treat him like a pariah. They freeze him out. Immediate garden leave despite not leaving for the competition. He’s upset, his family upset and his work colleagues and friends gob smacked and gutted because until management got its new deal they really were in it together. The gap between shop floor and boardroom barely perceptible. And this could be any of them. The industry rumour mill in overdrive with all sorts of conspiracy theories - all left unchecked by the business because the young lad being chucked under the bus deflects from them. Until he himself has to break the silence to protect his own reputation within the industry. He needn’t have because everybody knows the young lad in question isn’t a trouble maker by any stretch and would have worked his notice with the diligence and integrity that was part of him as a human being.
And so the rest of the workers trudge to work, they gather in corners and whisper. Bosses try to gain favour with some “old favourites” but the old favourites are just that - old. One of them is even called Albert for goodness sake.
The organisation struggles. And struggles more. The punters notice and are being met by cliche and platitude.
Football isn’t that different.

So a player decides not to sign a contract and this is a potential lost fee.
I hope the lost fee was worth it because the potential long term financial loss of spunking promotion will be a hell of a lot more.
Losing Lowe and Williams was too much especially when it causes divisions in the squad.
Both of the Sadlers are to blame here what happened to we are all in it together when they keep this on the QT.
This is what we talk about when we talk of inexperience running the club.

To be fair we’d have been fuming if we sold players in January. At the time the right decisions were made regarding players already here. Sadler is at fault for what now looks like freezing Williams out. He still had a massive part to play. He’s clearly lost the dressing room and the only way to give us half a chance now is to get rid.

It’s bizarre. I thought that the Bromley game was the last time that we would see Comley in a Walsall shirt. He (rightly) disappears, re-emerges on the bench a couple of times, disappears again (rightly) then out of the blue a full game yesterday, when again he completely failed to impact the game. My heart sank when I saw the team.
What gives, Sadler?

Amazed how anyone can think DJ is the problem with the way the last three months have gone and the limited minutes he’s played in that time.
Without his Donny AND Salford goals the club would not be in the automatic spots any longer.
Indeed finish one point ahead of Donny (and perhaps even Salford) in third and he’s played a critical part in promotion despite bench warming for 99% of the season.
