Barrow (A) April 12th, 3pm kick-off

Hes got too big for his boots mate can tell his attitude stinks before today.

Dave ,Williams,DJ ,Simkiss,Weir ,Lakin , Amantchi, Chang, Asiimwe, I’d add to that kid from Norwich ,Jackson Smith ,happy squads I doubt it very much .

Maybe next game, when we’re picking a striker, we stop thinking about defensive traits like closing down and duels won etc etc and pick an attacker who wants to score a goal?

Apparently DJ scores the odd goal and they win games I’m told.

I would be amazed if DJ gets another season in the EFL.
Nigel Clough recognised that his weaknesses outweighed any strengths.
His signing was a sad day for the Saddlers.
When he was younger, DJ was a good non-league striker. Full stop.

Interesting statement. Can I ask a question not having a pop. 5 questions to help Me understand your opinion. I see it more as a mix of the two !

How do you feel Quality of January recruitment impacted this run

How do you feel our readiness / speed of recruitment impacted this run

Do you see Trivela as having a “football strategy” for their clubs ? They say they do. How is this imparted on WFC and how did it manifest itself in our January transfer activity ?

Do you believe that owners should chop and change managers if they under perform and what are the grounds for dismissing a manager in your eyes.

For me, this is all down to Matt Sadler and his insistence to keep playing his favourites. I honestly believe 95% of managers ( even jimmy mullen) would’ve got enough points to get us up from the position we was in. The owners after the vale game that’s when they start taking the blame. It’s in plain sight how things are gonna end up and they’re sitting on their hands and allowing it to happen. Fans turning on players etc. this is more than just replacing a manager at this stage. There’s no alternative imo. To do nothing will be insane. Even if Sadler did manage to beat Accrington and Harrogate and we went up the unrepairable damage is done with him. We need a rebuild job no matter what league we’re in and at least 15 players will be gone.

One player I am so so disappointed in is Jellis.

Seemed a down to earth lad
Seemed full of enthusiasm a free spirit

Mouthing off at fans full time

Had a square up with the Vale bloke when subbed at 3/2 down when we needed to crack on

Maybe we are seeing a temperament issue which is why he was outside of the football league

Maybe he would benefit from a proper hard nosed manager

Young lad. Still time. Needs guidance.

TBH. Comley isn’t an improvement on a Stirk with a broken leg!!

Noway. Stirk is a million times better.

Been thinking exactly this. How do you start in a new division with a manager and team you don’t believe in?

If he manages to turn this run round he will get new respect and he will have achieved something very few managers have done here. I doubt he can do it hence my earlier posts but if he is here and wins promotion he will deserve support .Trivela will also have a big part to play by ensuring we can sign players of sufficient quality to give us a chance of competing in a higher division.

Agreed. So effective 1st half and absolute turd since Jan. Not just him, Barrat; Dave; Jamma all been trash since Jan.

Unfortunately most if those are in our spine of the team.

MS needs to find a way. No idea why hes not changing the shape tho.

Maybe im old school, but being as were relegation form, go Alladyce and make it 442, hard to beat and nick 1 or 2

One of a handful of matches I haven’t watched this season and I’m glad I didn’t.

From the highlights the players body language looks really bad. DD just looked hopeless when we conceded that first goal. That’s not what we need in our Captain. I’ve wanted DD back for a few weeks now but having seen that I don’t think I was right.

Sadler sounds like a broken record player in his post match. Something needs to change - if not this season, then next season.

‘Was always going to be difficult after going a goal down’

Mat

We were ahead against Vale, Col U away, Cheletenham away and others. We still didn’t win.

I said last week this fixture had Accrington away relegation season vibes. Blimey, I didn’t mean for it to be a verbatum re-enactment.

Only way forward in my opinion is for whoever is in charge to pick a trimmed down squad for these last 4 games and tell those that arn’t in it their race is run. Along similar lines to Thanny’s post, we also need a change of formation. For me that should be 4-3-1-2.

One from the two keepers.
Asiimwe/Mcentee, Daniels, Williams, Weir.
Chang, Lakin, Allen. (Stirk/Lipsuic)
Hall/RAM
Harrison DJ. (Wheatley/Amantchi).

Keep Matt and Adomah in there purely for leadership qualities and as cover, although I wouldn’t play either of them unless absolutely necessary.

The rest, if contracted give them a holiday voucher as a thank-you for their efforts if not pay up their contract and give them a free transfer.

The only mentality shift we’ve got time to enact is one of the siege variety.
Football wise, we’ve got to have some players on the pitch than can use the ball to create something other than hoof it aimlessly, and defenders who’s sole job is to defend, and prevent the ongoing scenario of needing 3 or 4 goals to get a result.

(None of the above will happen with Sadler in charge).

You have to start with a clean slate and go …

Let’s see what they do

I did this and despite concerns about style of play (energy levels. Freshness, low possession etc) couldn’t complain till January

Once a season starts you get to Oct / Nov then take a view on it

If we don’t get promoted if they keep him on after this run we’ve had, trivela will get pelters and rightly so. If he stays after yesterday (i think he should be gone) and he gets promotion then we will achieved a great promotion, but it will always be tinged with how we fell away so badly.
Big decisions for trivela now imo

I couldn’t disagree more with people who blame our January business on this capitulation.

Equally those who suggest that Lowe made us a one man team.

We beat Morecambe, Exeter and were two up at Swindon before Lowe made an appearance.

And the January window gave us depth in midfield in particular.

Sadler just takes for and against certain players and those he is for make us weaker than those he is against.

Williams agent made it clear last night that he is available and wants to play. Sadler has frozen him out. That’s nothing to do with January or Lowe, that’s to do with one man’s stubbornness and pug headedness. Something he seems to have grown since January.

Post contract Sadler is a disaster.

2 wins in 18 should do it.

Yesterday just before kick off we were handed a massive boost courtesy of the Swindon and Doncaster results. We had every reason to go for it and get our season back on track but instead it was more of the same.
With four games to play against teams we ought to be able to beat now is the time to step up.
Mat Sadler keeps playing the same way and yesterday was the final straw for me, for Christ sake try something other than hoofing it because everyone else can see its not working.

I agree. January could have been better. Was it bad enough to blow a 15 point lead? No way.
