As good and as important as Tommy’s save was my MOTM was Lakin.

Important block and tackle in a real dangerous situation 1st half and some great link up play throughout which is what he does but often without it being so noticeable.

Barrow came to make it anything but a game of football as they knew they wouldn’t win that, but the team really showed their credentials today.

We’d better get use to that I’m afraid, Barrow won’t be the ladt to try that.

In all honesty we were not at our best today, I wasn’t sure if our slender 1-0 lead would hold up, but thankfully, it did.
No one had a bad game, but Dave,Gordon and especially Lakin had very good games.
There weren’t many chances to increase the lead, but of the few we had their keeper made good saves.
I’ll take a 1-0 win over anyone even a side we don’t win against very often. Overall I think we dominated the game and allowed them very few opportunities to score.

Out of the last 6 seasons (cba to go back further haha), top of the league at this stage has gone on to be promoted in 5, with Newport being the exception and finishing 5th.

In the last 3 seasons, every one of them has finished as champions.

A tough watch but a welcome 3 points.

Seems Albert plays up front in order to hold the ball a bit.

Incomparable with the Jamma of 12 months ago. Testament to him and fitness coaches.

I disagree I think it will be harder without Lowe however we have goals all over the park enough to get us 3rd spot

Well thats the kind of result that wins you a league. Barrow were ‘agricultural’ at best and we struggled at times to get our game going. However the Walsall of a couple of years ago would have let that lead slip. Boys gave everything today and on the balance we deserved that win.

Special mention to Jamma who was an absolute warrior today, Simkin for that save and Taylor Allen for the bit of class we needed to get the 3 points.

Very happy Saddler tonight, although that match will not live long in the memory.

A tough physical battle. Barrow didn’t threaten much in second half. We looked tired at times especially Lowe. Agree with others Lakin MoM.

Oh and if we can get Draper back in January to take the pressure off Jamma that would be awesome. Maybe Im just being greedy

Messy 1-0 against one of our hoodoo teams - no complaints tho

Thought Larkin was MOM - worked really hard today

Awful ref again - just a joke that he didn’t do anything about the mess in the goalmouths during corners…

Defo pen on Jama too

Barrow manager, most of what he said is fair enough

What was the stoppage about in the first half where the ref was talking to barrow defender and then had a lengthy chat with the Barrow manager?

He looks like a bag of shite tied at the waste there
