According to Ben Sadler this was going to be an exciting week.

Dread to think what a boring one is like (think we are experiencing it)

What with WFC AND England we are well effin blessed

Excitement that he anticipated perhaps dampened a bit with the leak of the shirts last night - surprised there hasn’t been more teasers for the shirts since the first one came out. Also maybe he’s now got wind that the signing of Josh Gordon wouldn’t be as welcome as an outsider may think.

Anyone else not convinced by Ben ?

The ceo approval of the 3 yr contract for sads
The naive tweet
Role at Morecambe. What can you say. Club left on the verge of extinction

Why is he so highly rated ?

I think it would be harsh to aportion blame on him for Morecambe’s decline. Their owners are terrible characters who also managed to oversee the extinction of Worcester Rugby club. I think he has done some good things here but the January tweet perhaps exposed his lack of experience (a common theme running through the club!) and he would have played a part in offering the deal to Sadler but would imagine Boycott and Trivela would have been the main instigators of that.

More than harsh. Absurd, I’d say.

I think given the context of the new contract - why not - 12 points clear and playing great football. It just turned sour.

Ive met him a couple of times and seems like a great guy. Very personable. Happy to have him here.

Think people vastly overestimate his role on the playing aspect and influence on manager and coaching staff appointments.think a role of CEO in a football club can be vastly different to one in an other businesses.i have no problem with him .think he’s doing a decent job in his role .

I’m less impressed with Ben Boycott, to be honest.

Ben Sadler faces all the criticism on social media and generally seems to get it. Boycott on the other hand could be anywhere in the world, without a care in the world about this shit show it, so it seems.

The tweet about coming out of January stronger was probably ill advised, but he may well have believed that when he said it. Who knows what he had been told/promised.

Sadler has done an amazing job of increasing the attendances, and I’m guessing the revenue.

He’s not employed to influence the playing side of things, that’s Jordan and M Sadlers job.

However he needs to stop with the stupid Twitter posts, that’s where it all went wrong for Dan Mole. ,

Given his role he has done particularly well IMO. I don’t blame Ben S in anyway for our collapse.

An acquaintance of mine, who, like her Husband, is an armchair Liverpool fan, has been attending in recent weeks with her two junior school - age sons.
She, and they, are loving it, because of the atmosphere of a live event.
She’s considering getting a season ticket. Quite how that has happened, I’m not sure; perhaps she’s not as beaten down by failures as me.

I don’t see a problem with Ben Sadler to be honest. One of the few to put himself out there and take a lot of stick on social media.

His tweet about coming out stronger was naive but to be fair, it was the first day of the window and he put that we intend to come out stronger. That’s every clubs intention. A lot more of it has been made of it than needed to.

Boycott/Trivela on the other hand… They have a lot of work to do to win me round this summer.

ABSOLUTELY - I think most CEOs would aim to do the same. I think they got their tummies tickled when dealing with more crafty football people. But they will learn.

I do take more aim at MS’s “We’re exactly where we want to be” comment - that was just tone deaf!

Not surprised by that. The failure is felt most keenly by those of us who have been fans for years. Human psychology is a strange thing. If we hadn’t done so well earlier the pain some feel so badly would not be so real. It is that pain which will take time to heal if a miracle does not happen on Saturday.

Sorry this is bollocks. If we hadn’t done so well earlier we’d probably be staring relegation in the face! Last time that happened people were delivering coffins to the club.

There’s this idea growing that the only reason people are upset is because we were so spoilt by the start of the season. That is the standard we have been told is what we are aiming for for the last 6 years. Doing it for half a season, then completely shitting the bed is just as unacceptable.

I would say he is largely responsible for the up turn in the off field performance .
Seems a likeable chap and has created a better environment all round
