Ben Sadler appointed as CEO

Questions still need to be asked, in my opinion.

I’m more concerned about the mentality, with some of the things that are coming out that staff and players have said.

This shit shouldn’t be swept under the carpet. Did anyone do anything to try and stop this slump? I have a number of ideas in my head apart from the obvious, like hiring a sports psychologist.

I’m angry and hurt at the moment. Hopefully I will calm down when it is finally all over.

He will go. It would cost more to keep him with all the lost revenue and disollusioned fans yhan to give him a pay off

Why on earth would Trivela have thousands of pissed off supporters and hit themselves in the pocket as well

No sense whatsoever !!!

Ben Sadler will be happy to pick up a wage and not rock the boat. He has a good job at a relatively young age.

Mat Sadler will be happy to remain employed for as long as possible and pick up a wage. When he is sacked October he can go back to his Estate Agency.

Trivela will be happy to makes tidy return on their initial investment.

Players will jump ship for a bigger contract when possible.

Fans will be gutted and another season stuck in the basement and increasing prices

He will be picking up a wage from Walsall every month until his contract ends on 30 June 2028, whether or not he is sacked. That is another 1,157 days.

That would be a terrible mistake imo mate. I thought he’d cracked the code of league 2 earlier on this season but he most definitely hasn’t. He’s been found out

If we don’t go up which is very likely then MS will have to go in my view. People outside the club and those on the fringe may see that as harsh considering our budget is about mid table however the failure to get us promoted after the first half of the season is a massive blow to our loyal fanbase. I doubt it is all Saddler’s fault but in football if you are the Manager you carry the can for failure.
If we don’t go up it won’t affect my support for the Club or the team next year but I can understand those who take a different view. Trivela have been good for our Club but this a testing time for them. I hope they are up to the task because if MS goes the next appointment will be crucial to reviving our footballing fortunes and the enthusiasm of our fans.

That’s odd, because league 1 or 2 I won’t be going anywhere near Bescot while he is in charge.

Odd . I thought you were a supporter.

I’m sure they’ll be an internal review after the season is done.

A poor run can happen at any point in the season, even if you’re top. Something like losing at Fleetwood and Bradford in January but that was a blip after winning so many games in the winter and adapting to losing Lowe.

That can happen and was generally accepted on here.

Mind boggling for a team who are 12 points clear to go 13 games without a win. You can not put down a winless run that long to bad luck, inexperience/naivety or bad ref decisions.

Something has gone badly wrong behind the scenes and it will be uncovered in that. Whether those findings are then shared with the supporters or E&S and what spin is put on the findings, I don’t know.

Let me explain. You how you think the sun shines out of Sadlers arse? Well I don’t

Considering that in the post just above your last effort I said he would have to go if we didn’t get promotion I think you are somewhat mistaken about me. However I support Walsall whoever is the Manager and have seen many worse than MS. If the Manager determined my support I would have missed many seasons !

Something I have learned. I used to think everyone thought like me about Walsall FC. I thought everyone was as emotionally attached. They aren’t, some even though they are true Walsall fans, can take it or leave it and follow from a distance. And that is fine.

I’ll be there next year regardless, but it will take some time to forget this, if ever.

I’m not going to justify to you what sort of fan I am, I’ll repeat, I won’t be watching any games while Mat sadler is in charge.

And definitely not from The Locker, if I recall.

Who’s kicked your cage?

Loads of people wont be watching next season if hes still in charge

Loads of viable options in this area.

Not for me, Walsall or nothing. That being said, I don’t love football like I used to.

If there was no Walsall I doubt I’d follow football at all.

A few of my immigrant friends from The UK have started to watch Estepona on Sundays this season. They get around 2.5-3.0k watching them at home. Tier 5 equivalent.
15 euros to get in, generally watching in the sunshine and you can have a beer in the stands.
They’ve just qualified for the playoffs. I might tag along one of these days, just to see.
I’ll still renew my Ifollow ST next season regardless.

That’s a different life. I’d probably be up for that if I were in that situation.

2/3 of our season you are freezing your nads off. You can have a beer in the stands in non league I think, but it’s not as much fun if the sun ain’t shining on you.

I’ve just lost my love for football over recent years for different reasons. I still love Walsall as much as ever though.
