He did bring in some proper ballers. Gabby, Pingu, Boli, Junior, Zigor, Padula. Some great footballers for our level.

And Chine, Essers, Gerrault, Bica, Ofodile, Bos, Barrau, probably a few others I’ve forgotten. He brought in some excellent players, and some absolute shite. His recruitment in the summers of 1999 and 2001 was very poor.

Yes, my mate and I were sat/stood not far behind the dugouts on that day and to witness the stick Keith Hill received as Dann scored the equaliser was priceless. Hill had been his typical smug, arrogant self since 'Dale had taken the lead and was convinced they’d secured the three points until Dann did what he did. Tremendous.
Not just the foreigners though with Taylor.
Jim , O’Connor, Viveash etc at good ages recruited.
Not forgetting Rambo, Pointon, Charlie Palmer, Tilson who as veteran players were solid for us
