Birmingham (A) - FL Trophy - Tuesday 3rd September 7.45pm

Until the competition reverts to what it was i won’t go to this although i was very tempted with it being blues i don’t agree with the prem kids teams being in it and never will this used to be a good competition for League one and two clubs i used to really like it.
Why not introduce National league teams instead I’m sure we wouldn’t have an issue with that would we? I wouldn’t.

I do actually agree with your post, despite the post I put on another thread about it.

I understand people’s stance completely. What I don’t agree with is people knocking others who want to go and watch Walsall in any game. Ultimately it won’t have any affect on if those U21 teams are allowed into the football league, if they want it to happen it will. Gates were always low anyway until the very latter stages, and I think the finals are still attracting decent gates.

I don’t bother with them much myself. Only really going tomorrow cos the kids might not get another chance to tick off St Andrews. I’d go if we got to the final though without a doubt. A day at Wembley for the kids. Not that we’ve much chance, got our work cut out to get out of this group.

Tough game, very tough group. No more injuries is the most important thing. Cleary and Lowe to start with, I hope, DJ on the bench. Maher surely certain to play, Albert might be fit, maybe Earing to start. I’d like to see Allen have a rest, so a back four makes that easier, with Weir at LWB.

It’s a tough call whether to play a strong team to win or get through the game with no more injuries to key players.

I think that getting through without more injuries is vital.
The league is way more important to me.

Its not that I would turn down a run in this or any cup, but the priority has to be a serious promotion push.

I’m going to this tomorrow. I’m going to jump on the train from Rugby.
I’ve never been to St Andrews before. How easy is it to get to the ground from New Street, is it walking distance?

About a 40 minute walk, you can get a bus from the Birmingham markets which goes pretty much outdide the ground.

We’ll be on the lookout for a be-tweeded, rotund, gentleman called Keith then.

Anyone know what parking is like please?

Wherever you park @TheRedPrince
Don’t try street parking.

I read that there were yet more incidents of theft at last Saturdays game.

Best way is through the bull ring then out the back through Digbeth

Found this.

Bit of an old one, but years ago back in the late 70’S/ early 80’s we went to the Blues to watch us play, 5 of us in a beat up old Jag, the reg was worth more than the car, GUV 1
And as we got out of the car, we were approached by a group of lads asking if we wanted them to look after the car for £5? to which my mate replied " you can HAVE it for a fiver mate" :joy: they didn’t know what to say and just walked off open mouthed :joy:

Its about a 15/20 minute brisk walk from New St through Deritend but plenty of pubs on route to stop off at if you have time to spare

If it’s on Sky I’ll watch it, but this competition died years ago!

Best result for us would be to come away injury free.

I will despite Brexit.

You’ve lost the plot!

:man_facepalming:

Blues end selling well

I’m only going tomoz to tick the ground off

Anyway why the fk can you only order one ticket online? I want three
