Birmingham (A) - FL Trophy - Tuesday 3rd September 7.45pm

If you get off at international you can either get a stopper service to Adderley Park (15 minute walk) or there’s a couple of bus services that go past or close to the ground. The Cov-Brum bus stops at Bordesley Middleway so five minute walk back up the hill to the away end.

Weird to think it’s 23 years since playing them in a league fixture now. Were some close calls in the last decade with them surviving relegation on the last day to league 1 a couple of times.

Blues manager has confirmed that Stansfield and Tomoki will play against us.

It’s alright, Dave will sort him out!!

It used to be a scary place to visit in years past. The 5th round of the cup in the mid seventies was an experience. Nicer these days.

They’ve only opened one stand

Seriously?? Does that include a pub crawl round Digbeth en route? (highly desireable)

I was there, they were throwing slates onto us , nasty !

The number 60 bus goes from down the side of Moor Street station (only a couple of minutes walk from New Street/Grand Central), and stops a spit away from the ground in Greenway Street. It runs every 10 mins on the way there before the game, and 20-30 on the way back afterwards - about 10 minutes journey time.

The suggestion that Stansfield might be playing together with the low ticket prices will shift a few more.

Possibly the highest attendance of the round but still only around 5,000.

The walk is around half an hour from New St or 20 mins from Adderley Park (which is very close to where the new ground will be). Walking is about the same time as getting the bus to be fair but once you’ve walked down to moor st, waited and then navigated the one way.

If you’re going by train I’d try to get there earlyish and break up your walk with a cheeky pint in Digbeth. Our old favourite was The Swan at the back of the Irish centre. Absolutely gorgeous mild in there. I’d check it’s still open as it’s been a while. Or of course The Old Crown on the main drag.

Hardly enough fit players to make an eleven plus substitutes. Any more injuries and Sadler will need his boots.

Ive always hated blues. Their fans are scummers.

Simkin available?, Earing, Thomas, Johnson, Barrett, Jellis, Matt, Cayden Bennett?

Maybe some more academy players on the bench like Leydon?

Completely agree.

Having U21s in this competition is a Trojan Horse and I won’t go again until it is stopped. I might make an exception if they are all out and we are still in, but even then I’d be hesitant. The Premier League is a poison and one I don’t want to swallow.

I thought they were Southampton - or is that Portsmouth fans……can never work out which are scummers and which are the skates…….

Southampton are the Scummers (allegedly for being strike breakers), Portsmouth the Skates (doing unnatural things to flatfish while out on their boats :flushed:).

That’s it - Southampton supporting mate used to tell me that story

Just a word of warning for anyone travelling this evening, St Andrews@ Knightshead Park is situated in one of the most impoverished and deprived areas of the entire country. I would recommend exercising extreme caution in the vicinity of the arena, and covering up colours/leaving rosettes at home.
