Birmingham (A) - FL Trophy - Tuesday 3rd September 7.45pm

Atleast we know we can make attacking subs I guess

Reminder to self. Buy tickets from Bescot. Had to supply name address and phone number at the ticket office, after being directed to the wrong place twice!

Thought these may have rested a few but that’s a strong line up.

Oh, 15m player. Anyway, good game with a good result, no penalties please.

Not bothered about this cup but it would be nice to keep the performances and wins going.

Think “no injuries” is number one priority followed by a performance followed by a result.

Let’s give it, that’s a Championship side we’re up against there. Anything would be brilliant.

Hugely impressed with St Andrews @Knightshead Park

Weren’t we in the Coventry Road (Kop) side of the ground for that one? Pretty sure we were in the Tilton Road end for the predecessor EFL Trophy (whatever it was named that week) game when Charlie Tarmac got our winner in extra time.

Gil Merrick stand the last few times - but I have seen us play here from the Garrison Lane stand too as my brother’s place had an executive box and he bagsied it for that game. Hated it mind - no colours allowed, no jeans or trainers, right behind their fans and couldn’t join in with the atmosphere generated by ours. :unamused:

Really always thought it was a dire ground to be honest :man_shrugging:

Listening to the commentary pre-match about Blues spending. They said it’s been reported they’ve spent £35m, but in reality it’s closer to £20m this season as the payments will spread over other seasons. That is okay though in their opinion as there is no FFP as such in League 1 and they won’t be able to spend the same in the Championship should they be promoted.

Call me old fashioned, but the money banded about now is astronomical. How would we be able to be competitive should we get promoted when clubs are spending multiple times as much as we can/do.

But have they got an undercroft?

Not on the same scale but I was talking to someone in the game yesterday, and he told me that the weekly players wage budget for Hednesford Town was £17,000 a week, that is some budget for the league they are in.

Not to fussed about jay stansfield, birmingham chose to overspend on him, if he was that good why was no championship club interested

What Skysports+ channel is the game on . My EPG not working

Martin O’Connor has just mentioned Ryan Stirk. Said he has a lot of time for him and offered him to us on loan when Flynn was manager, but Flynn didn’t want him.

Earing playing as the second striker

I bought the audio pass but it is Blues commentators - is there an option to switch to our own comms or is it just the Blues one?

Not sure about Earing being the 2nd striker/10
