Birmingham City (H) - Friendly - Sat 27th July, 1pm

Sandler’s excuse will be we didn’t have Matt.

Imagine my shock that we didn’t score :joy:, the press was good though.

Effort on show, some reasonable play but clearly no goal threat, how can the vast majority of supporters see the issue but the management and directors can’t? No chance of play-offs unless good additions to the strike force are made.

How many goals we scored/conceded in the friendlies?
(Can’t be bothered counting) :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Excuse for what, it was a excellent game against a decent team , everyone knows we need a striker (s)
I’m sure Sadler knows this as well, I can’t believe that they wouldn’t want to bring players in.
We have very good strength in the defensive and midfield positions

Absolutely :100: key to the season

Apart from where Matt Sadler said we were trying to get 2 more forwards in.

Do we?? We have decent numbers but quality wise we’re certainly no better.

Anyone with half a brain can see that.

The other half of Birmingham are losing to Aldershot 2-1

We really miss earing in midfield to get the ball up the pitch, we play with 3 ball winning midfielders
I think Maher did ok but can tell his not a striker and prefers ball to feel with space eg wing

Have i missed how long earing is out for? Do we know?

Thank you for your considered opinion.

Let’s hope he does, and if he does we need some quality, not cast-offs who can’t get a position anywhere else.

As I’ve said before , we all know that it’s not f–kin rocket science.

Desperately need a quality striker up top and a bit of height as we got in some good positions today but we had no threat when the balls came in to the box.
Overall though I thought it was a decent workout and we showed lots of energy all over the pitch and some good play at times .
Jellis could be a real find, didn’t waste a ball all afternoon and looked good and constant threat against a team with the quility he will not face in league 2.
