Thanks, folks.
It sounds naughty but, in our case, often effective.
If it is effective, it says a lot for Sadler’s reading of the game and coaching ability.
Thanks for posting that…just shows the confidence in the camp.
Interesting insight into why Liam signed an extension. Credit where it is overdue…
He did vary it on Saturday, seemed to be his ankle/shin area this time
Very late to this but some thoughts from the weekend:
Real shame Harry is going to likely miss a couple given his form, but obviously great news there was no other damage outside of the concussion. I think DD is still serviceable in the central CB role until he’s back, with the option of Dave to the middle and Oisin back in too.
I don’t want to keep banging on about Jellis and Barrett but it’s really hard not to, my word our right back is just unbelievable isn’t he, and I thought that was one of if not Jellis’ best game for us so far. The link up between the two of them down the right, and Dave actually was unplayable at times.
Couple of nice surprises for me, as some have already said, George Hall really impressed when he came on, he looked sharp and hungry, hopefully he can start to contribute now too. The other was how well Lakin coped in that deeper role, again perhaps one of his best games for us so far.
Main reaction, we are damn good aren’t we. The league table doesn’t speak any lies, the cup results don’t either, 4 league one teams down and a little unlucky against a premier league team (albeit a poor one). These players deserve every bit of success they’ve had so far this season.
The Blues result on paper is probably the best of those wins but actually Saturday for me was the most impressive, yes we gave up a couple of slack chances early on but after that without question deserved the win. It was the way they went about it, some of the best passages of play I’ve seen for a while, every player confident and wanting the ball and calm on it too, seriously impressive stuff.
There really seems to be something special in the works this year.
P.s PSA to Stoke City FC, please keep your filthy hands off Nathan until the end of the year.
We’ve won the most games in the country, 13.
Must be fake news.

Only 8 teams have won 10+ games… we are one and we’ve beat two of the others and non of the ones left have beat us.
Interesting that Exeter are up there, shows we did well to knock them out of the EFL cup
You missed out our reduced budget.
It makes no sense to do it in the first two rounds, whatever you think of protecting some higher clubs later. The argument that the FA wants to standardise , and make all ties the same is a non-starter, because they’re happy to use VAR selectively.
Problem is that even lower league clubs aren’t as interested in the FA Cup as they used to be.
Several clubs “rested” players for last weekends ties.
Bolton for example, rested their centre half, Ricardo Santos.
(Some) Clubs want less games
Many Bolton fans were ok with losing to us as it meant they could concentrate on their forthcoming league game against Stockport.
That went well…
(0-5)
To make it worse, no shots on goal but had lions share of the possession lol, their mini revival over?
Let’s hope so. Horrible club.
With Stockport having lost 5-0 themselves on Tuesday night. Hilarious result from Bolton🤣
So the Hatters emphatically beat the Trotters in the week that Donald Trump brought home the bacon. They sound like Monopoly characters (especially as Bolton’s Evatt’s used to manage Barrow…)
