Bolton Wanderers (H) F A Cup 1st round, Nov 2nd 3pm

I’ve read Croddys’ posts where he refers to Henrietta, Horatio and Hesketh as “H”.

What about Harry H Corbett - shouldn’t he have been HH?

Only if his brother, Jesus H Corbett was known as JHC

How could I forget we have DJT as well!!

Are there any extended highlights anywhere? The BBC ones (which are also the ones on the club’s Twitter) show all of the Bolton chances I can recall but there are a few of ours missing - Albert off the line, Jellis hitting the post, and Taylor Allen’s screamer to name but some.

The BBC highlights are dreadful.

Just read the concussion “guidelines” - 2 weeks minimum until full contact training, then a week after that minimum until “ready to play”…
…However there is an “Enhanced Care Pathway” then assuming there’s nothing untoward he could be “ready to play” after 12 days, or if “exceptional criteria” is met then he can be deemed “Ready to Play” after 7 days.
I would imagine the club would use the enhanced care pathway and not push for the “exceptional criteria” especially given how much work H does in the air to make sure he’s fully recovered

With DD and McEntee now back in the picture there is probably less imperative to rush Harry back early.

Not just the concussion with H though it’s the amount of blood loss aswel

They would have to introduce a law stopping the players going anywhere near the technical area during breaks in play for injuries; drinks for the ever-thirsty players would be available on the other side of the pitch from the coaching staff.

Or maybe they could legalise it and allow each manager one two-minute time-out during the match.

That’s good. Pretty much all local derbies above us.

Which game was he actually watching?!!!:joy::joy:

10k at mk dons? Looking virtually empty from the highlights!

Also, 4-5k at bradford must have looked horrendous!

It is always virtually empty, it holds 30 odd thousand as Wankleman said they would need it when they were in the PL within 10 years

Was I seeing things but didn’t their player kick the ball off the line with his back behind the ball and it hit his foot, no bodies mentioned this and I haven’t seen it.

As I rarely get to watch live games, I know nothing of this. Can someone explain this “sitting down” tactic? Is it (allegedly) a tactic? What’s the point? Etc
I’d be grateful for an explanation.

Simkin (Simkins/Simpkiss) suddenly goes down “injured” after 30-35 minutes, normally unchallenged, with an eye problem. While the medical team are attending to him, the team go to the sideline for a chinwag with coaching staff. If it was an outfield player then he would have to go off for 30 seconds, but not a keeper.
An obvious bit of shithousery

Obviously a bit late for this now, but some well known local beauty spots on this Beeb cup report map

Bolton did it too. When ‘H’ was being seen to, we then brought on two subs (Daniels and Hall). Evatt saw this so their keeper suddenly sits down too, even though there had been at least 2-3 minutes where Williams was being sorted, and it meant he could call his players over to discuss how to deal with and counter what we may have changed.
It’s all very obvious, none more so than by Simkin, so surely at some point it will clamped down on.
