Bradford City (A) Jan 25th, 12.30pm

How much do they get for the one they missed near the end, that is almost as good as a penalty if he has more composure.

As bad as we were, I think our keeper has to keep two of their goals out. He had one go in straight down the middle of the goal last week also, I know they were all hard shots, but he was no where near any of them.

0.8 i think

I think it was about 0.2 for that chance.

I think he will disappointed with all 3 really.

i would only really blame him for the second though, he was caught out near post. But ultimatley Liam Gordons had a stinker there. Other 2, good finishes.

He looked very Owen Evans today. You get the sense he saves 60% of shots on target, although today his initial double save was impressive!

He didnt, he caught every cross that came his way for a start.

At least he isn’t getting the blame for defeat like the Fleetwood one.

He could win POTS and would deserve it… But today contributed to two of their goals and probably failed to play in DJ for two clear chances… but perhaps he just doesn’t like DJ.

Id have him over any other LWB in the division, but would consider resting him on Tuesday too!

I meant Owen Evens from a shot stopping perspective…

Liams had a 2 out of 10 at best today, rare from him.

I wouldn’t even give DJ a 1 though. I dont buy all this “hes trying hard” excuse. Everyone’s trying hard. He wasn’t the only one , but we are finding excuses for him now, i think we deserve better than that as a club.

(probably score 3 on Tuesday now)

Been a huge Johnson fan, but you can see why he doesn’t get game time.

The whole “he should be playing because he’s a goalscorer” yet he’s:

Had chances against Reading, missed them.

Had chances against Peterborough, missed them.

Penalty today, missed.

He offers us absolutely nothing outside of the box. The way we play that’s a crucial part of the game.

Having said that Adomah was also as bad as he was today to be fair. So some of my flak should be going his way as well.

Bad day all round. Ill take a deep breath :grinning:

Wheatley looks a real handful though, like the look of him alot.

Danny johnson what a flop

Doesn’t DJ have one of the best goals to minutes ratios in the squad?

I think his time is done though - I’d try and move him on this window tbh.

Over a full season I’d still back him to score 20. He needs to be the main man, he is never going to be that at Walsall now, and rightly so. Was a poor signing really when you look at it. I was surprised he brought him on today. Wheatley would have been a better change, given it was Matt that went off. It is possible that time and the lack of game time over several years has also caught up with him, he isn’t exactly that athletic type.

On the way back now after a top day out. Sadly the performance was poor but credit Bradford as they done to us what we have been doing to others all season.

They had the effort, the determination and quality to dominate the midfield and deserved to win.

Worryngly, without Jellis and Jamma we had nothing. Sadler needs a bit of time in the thinking room as that just wasnt good enough for a team looking for automatic promotion.

If anyone fancies some incoherent optimism I actually think it’s a great result today.

Adds a layer of peril and humbles the team… forces them to do better. Means they may train harder, push further, beat the expectations.

Could be a loss that has come at the right time!

Actually agree with that.

A small humbling kick up the arse never hurt a decent football team.

It might not be such a bad thing that just about everyone got a bad performance out of the way in the same match.
