Bradford City (H) 14th Sept, 3pm

Lots of posts referencing major overhaul needed which is probably right , but if you took your car to a mechanic for a major overhaul and he proceeded to use parts gathered from the local scrapyard , what do you think the outcome would be probably a " dodgy motor ".
Which is exactly what we have ended up with just replace motor with team .

Which game did you watch?

Statistically

Unfortunately statistics rarely show a truthful picture of the match and how things went… We could still be playing now without a goal scored.

Honestly cannot believe we had 19 shots. Unless they are counting every cross that went behind the goal as a shot, as there must have been about 8 or 9 of them.

Battered? By what measure? Possession doesn’t mean battered. They could have had three (the pen and the disallowed one) we were lucky for one nil!

I actually bet they are. Only way that figure makes sense.

To much blind optimism on here, we are crap!

100 % Gaffneys crosses as we didn’t have that many shots

First Walsall game I’ve made it down to this season and from what I’d heard from a mate and read on FB etc it seems to have been bang on.

Had some alright moments in the game but as soon as the ball went forward there was nothing upfront. Too many crosses going miles over and players trying to do to much.

I should quit whilst your ahead sunshine if I were you!

Having had a chance to sleep on yesterday’s result, I thought we were desperately unlucky not to win the game. For the first time I actually felt sorry for the lads, we didn’t deserve to lose!
We attacked a lot more than any other game this season, Sinclair looked good going forward, Guthrie is the player we all thought he was and the two forwards worked their tails off. Hardy made a difference when he came on, but tried too hard to make things happen. CCM added something to our left flank.
The only thing our team needs is a break, right now we’re not getting breaks at all.
We have to stop making silly mistakes at the back late on in games…and we desperately need someone to put in a decent cross or two.
I thought we looked a lot more confident than previous games - we have to be patient with DC, slagging him off and booing does not help in the slightest. Walsall fans usually boo (rightly so) if there’s a lack of effort or at players not trying, that was not the case yesterday.

I don’t think it was too much to ask for maybe a little ambition this year following the takeover and possibly, god forbid a little bit of reinvestment of the transfer fees received. I think it’s ridiculous to be ridiculed for having that view. Re the business model people keep telling me I don’t understand. ie every bit of cash goes into buying back the freehold. Might be ok in the longer term in the short term we will simply end up being relegated. How can u run the football club like that.

Sunshine! You must be ancient.

I thought you were in direct contact with Leigh? Why haven’t you advised him with your concerns…

Just silly deflection of the actual point I’m making in that things are getting far worse… Not better. Why don’t u ask Leigh when he organises the next forum. I couldn’t be arsed. Why don’t u look at the league table and the goals scored column !!! As others have said (not me). The darkest days for the last 30 yrs were the Hibbitt days. This is worse

Nobody’s debating that we’re right in the mire at the moment. I just think it’s ridiculous to blame a Chairman who has just taken over from a leech for a short-term run of bad results.

Clarke’s use of his budget, rather than budget itself, is the more pressing issue.

Last post from me on the issue but re the short term wasn’t the statement that ā€˜I’ve been overseeing footballing decisions for some time’. Or did u not hear that one. So we’ve seen one relegation and are now in free fall towards the conference !

Dosnt fill me with much confidence regarding the longer term !!!

That is still very much short-term in comparison to nearly 30 years of your beloved Jeff, or ā€˜Geoff’ as you like to call him.

Pathetic. I have and I never will love Bonser to be clear with you. U can debate what is short term, long term all night but the ā€˜overseeing of all football decisions for a considerable time’ by YOUR beloved Leigh Pomlett has been nothing short of a complete disaster.
