I’m just questioning why your criticism is so heavily aimed at Pomlett, when surely the microscope has to be more focused at the actual footballing employees.
From what we know, the Board have enabled an increase in attendances, employed a manager with an excellent reputation at this level and supposedly delivered a competitive budget. I’d suggest that if you’re looking for a ‘complete disaster’, then cast your eye towards the pitch rather than the Boardroom.
I personally prefer to judge the Board on a medium to long-term basis as it’s a better judge of their strategic decisions. The manager and players should, for obvious reasons, be judged more short-term.
I’m critical for the reason I’ve stated. ‘An overseeing of all football related decisions for a considerable time’. And a glance at the quality of the squad, the league table and the goals scored column. That implies to me that these football related decisions have not been good ones’. I certainly do not agree with u re the competitive budget. I’d say mid table conference at a push. Not my assessment… Others on the board. Let’s agree to disagree. Best wishes
There were a lot of oooo’s & aaaah’s welcoming the fact that LP was the new owner,DC was the new manager, and for a good proportion (not all admittedly)of the players signed,we have now no choice, the budget and transfer window are gone. We just have to hope that our form improves and all the bad feeling (which is understandable) is a thing of the past.
When you watch the goal back, it makes you despair. Kinsella just headed it straight in . Great header wrong end.
Having slept on it we probably weren’t as bad as I was feeling at the time. I am just extremely frustrated with it all, I am sick of being crap now(makes you wonder why I support Walsall eh?)On reflection 0-0 would probably have been fair, Bradfords number 5 was a unit at the back he was MOTM.
As people say you couldn’t have faulted the effort as such, its being kind to say they are all limited footballers
No, I now have to communicate with French(non!)men for most of my remaining 5 working days, then retirement! Therefore my mood will not improve in the short term.
Credit to you though, you are very good at winding folk up, take a gold star for effort.
Walsalls striker, Gaffney I think, is the worse player I have ever seen. Every cross was ballooned, heavy touch and basically crap. Makes Patrick look good.
I actually though Gaffney held the ball up well and bought other players into the game.
Okay his crosses were woeful but at least he had a shot!
Also why didn’t we play Kinsella at right back, he can do a job there and would of freed up a midfield slot…
