Bromley (A) Thursday 13th March, 8.00pm

Sadler needs to get the squad/bench sorted and not just stick his favorites in. We relied so heavily on it during our successful part of the season. 2-0 up on 60 minutes with tiring legs? Bring on Earing and Hall and finish the game 3 or 4 nil, we done this countless times. 1-0 down at half time, Notts County springs to mind, change personnel and win the game 2-1. Get the 2 new lads in CM on the bench and get them on the pitch when the midfield are tiring. Go back to squeezing everything out of Jamma knowing he only has to do it for 60 mins. Sadler says he’s not going to make changes for the sake of it, but a lot of what he was doing has changed. We’ve recruited in the positions we needed to and who knows if some of them are any good without even seeing them. Instead he favors Comley, who we clearly know isn’t good enough to be in a promotion winning side.

We are in a slump. Rumours of training ground bust up’s, lots of disenchantment from the players not getting a sniff of the bench the Man UTD culture creeping in, spells to me a hard thought 2:1 win.

 valium time

Where are the rumours of training ground bust ups coming from?

Probably from Mr Fish, notorious for chatting waffle

Thirty years ago, did we not play Bury away on a Thursday (an election day as I recall), draw 0-0 to confirm our promotion under Chris Nicholl?

Trust me, there are no training ground bust ups. Loads of frustration and disappointment as they all accept they have not performed recently. But everyone is as much together as they have been all season.

Was lucky to sit and have a drink and a bite to eat with Ken Dodd when he came to Cannock around 1981. He opened a shop and I took some photos of him , he treated me like a long lost friend when I told him I’d lost my job thanks to maggie thatcher .We sat at like a old style pub table for 20 - 30 mins and talked and laughed it was like nobody else was in the room. Only regret is I never got him to sign the B&W prints I made when he made one of his regular trips to the Prince of Wales theatre but did get one published made me proud to say this was the first film I had ever developed and in turn this made me into a Pro Photographer for 30 years. Never worked in a factory ever again a big bonus. Maybe less money but a far better life.
God Bless Ken Dodd true legend.

For anyone coming down on the train, Victoria Line from Euston to Victoria then Southeastern straight to Bromely South would be the easiest and quickest way.

Yes, I was answering this post from @boringteacher .

I know tickets for the original date were sold out, but my mate has just returned 3no tickets to the club (2no adult and 1no under 12), if anyone is looking for a ticket now.

There were originally seven of us going, but just four now.
See you down there.

What’s our Thursday night record like?!! Got to be better than Tuesday nights.
