Bromley (A) Thursday 13th March, 8.00pm

Absolutely

He spends more time on the floor than actually playing football

Gritty point away.

Defo a point gained in my view.

Grinding out these points and will hopefully get a bounce after the break. We’m gewin up!

Sadler went to the same place as Rob Harvey for his pre match Lilley and Skinner, came out of an emergency visit to the Spam Fritter and spotted DJ …who he immediately blamed for his urgent Ertha.

Apparently we’ve got Tom Tit lined up as his replacement on the Judy Dench.

Well Comleys closing down for the first goal only matched by his header for their second. Notwithstanding his contribution for the other 88 minutes. He could suck the life out of a lemon

That’s just a term used by negative miserable arses, to claim that their world view is correct and superior to that of anyone who has a more optimistic/ cheerful outlook.
Incidentally id agree with @funk_hits_the_fan and @Belphegor on this one.

Much better second half and felt we could/should have nicked it 3-2.

Can’t fault the effort the lads put in. Levi had a good game and my MOTM.

Frustrated with Sadler for not bringing on the subs. Three points would have been brilliant tonight and we should have gone for it by bringing on Albert for Conner at RWB and given the Man U kid 20 minutes.

Odd.
As a school boy it was obvious that a star player ‘David Rushbury’ and ‘Gerry O’Hara’ could make us a brilliant team. We won everything in Wolverhampton schools.
But at a professional level!!!
Nathan Lowe…sad, but so obviously true.

Solid point. Bromley are a good outfit. But could and should have been 3 points.

Abysmal and uninspiring team selection. Even worse use of the bench.

Richard Moneys walsall may well have been a tad boring but Money had more than one plan. He used his squad well. Made astute signings.

I stand by my point of - IF anything Is achieved this season - it will be as much in spite of - if not because of Sadler. Poor manager. Cannot wait for the day he is no longer employed as manager here.

Saddler’s post match interviews are so professional…kind of wish his vision as a manager was a bit more exciting than ‘professional’.
Still, at least he’s binned Stirk.

Losing Lowe was always going to hit us hard, but that isn’t an excuse for such an extreme drop off in form, over an extended period of time now.

The amount of goals we are conceding is the problem and a lot of them follow the same pattern. Sort that out and we will ease over the line.

Bennett hasnt played for us for quite a while Sir

Better second half and a goal we would have scored during the good run. A quick glimpse of the Barrett we haven’t seen for a while (cross for the goal) and his suspension feels like a blessing for him and us.

A little disappointing not to see Lakin, Stirk, Uncle introduced on what looked a really good pitch with one of the better refs at this level.

Our defending as a team is the issue for me, we’re giving away too many chances and it begins from poorer application further up the field, we’re losing the ball more and winning too few seconds balls.

That leaves us dependent on scoring 2+ goals to win a game and that’s been a lot harder since Lowe was recalled. We desperately miss his contribution to the press too, which perhaps explains the preference for hard-running players like Comley in midfield.

That said, plenty of teams would have crumbled last night against a good Bromley team in form. They’ve got some decent results from top 7 teams in the last month or so a point is decent given our troubles.

Potential extended break should do us good, and maybe losing top spot will ease a little pressure.

Happy with a point from that banana skin. Good to come back from behind twice, but annoying we went behind twice.

Reality: on a pisspoor run we are still clear with a lot of daylight to fourth place. Every one of the chasing pack are slipping up too, because it’s that sort of league. We got this. I trust the players, and Mat, to get this done.

Glad with the point away from home.
Inept management.
I’m not a Ryan Stirk fan but Comley? His lack of marking led to the first goal.
Substitutions?
Replace Comley, Matt (lucky to play full game), Wier, move Allen back and bring on Lakin
Wheatley would inject some pace.
Sadler just left twitching on the side doing nothing.
We are lucky to still be top and will be lucky to get promotion under his leadership.
Sadler out

I had no hope for long periods last night, so happy with a draw. The performance was still a long way off, but at least we’re back to seeing this team doing something our previous ones in this division probably wouldn’t have done-come away with something when looking out of it at half time. You’d have been looking at 3 or 4-1 a couple of years ago.

@Shrewsbury-Saddler it’s took you a while to identify there are issues. Welcome to the party. Better late than never. .

Few points in MS BBC post match interview:

  1. He keeps on and on about how much we need to remember what we are (slightly repetitive…) - We get that Mat, but equally, you need to accept the need to change things when we aren’t playing like we can - we have subs on the bench you know…
  2. He said he liked what he saw with the Jamma and Levi partnership - hopefully, you’ll explore more options rather than playing Albert up front when we really miss him on the right wing
  3. He mentioned pitches again, admittedly highlighting that the excellent move down the wing for the second goal was nice to see (agreed) - teams such as Grimsby and Swindon have played on the same pitches and had no bother recently…
  4. No word of a thank you to the fans - 400 on a freezing cold Thursday night in SE London and not even a mention… Not good Mat and clearly he’s got the arse because fans have reacted to some of the rubbish performances recently served up… Demonstrates a bit of a condescending attitude towards fans which is something he’d be wise to drop immediately…
