Just watched the post match interview, interesting that Sadler said he thought Allen did well having been pushed into midfield and that he will continue to grow into that role?
Does that now mean he sees him and will use him as a midfielder?

I thought there were signs last night of us returning to being a more threatening side going forward, particularly in the second half. What perturbs me is how often we are giving the ball away near our own penalty area.
He was not to blame for either goal but whoever thought Hornby was a step-up on Simkin was wrong.
I thought he did OK, too. Weir looks more than competent at the back - we seem to have 2 good players in the same position.
It’s a forum for opinions mate - it’s OK to disagree
I can’t agree that anyone thought Jellis was MOM last night but that’s just my opinion…
Can anyone explain why Jellis is taking corners (which rarely beat the first man) when Allen is on the pitch?
You could look at a five minute highlights reel of Jellis last night and think he was a championship player.
You could look at a five minute lowlights reel and think him non league.
It’s all about opinions mate, it’s a forum where people have differing views on what they see or believe, it’s ok if you think Jellis was man of the match, I didn’t? Others may think that Amantchi played well, I didn’t? Some think it was a good point earned, I didn’t? What I do think is that we are devoid of ideas how turn this car crash around and squandering a very healthy points cushion . I don’t know where we will finish come May but fear it may be play offs, hope I’m wrong, but that’s my opinion, embarrassing aye it.
It’s an age thing, sorted now
Dont convert Shrew. Dont join his Kabal of distain.
Believe!
On reflection I shouldn’t post during the game.
I’m far too emotionally involved to be anywhere near balanced. I’m either in the stars happy or in the sewers depressed.
Come out with some right shit. Which is my mid match Walsall turmoil manifesting. Nobody, deserves a share of that agony!!!
I reckon many of us can relate to that PT……
If we didn’t care we wouldn’t bother - UTS
Never drag in game comments into the light… highly subjective to a 10min spell and its massively subject to post match scrutiny. Post and ghost!
Ive given barrat some stick since Jan, but i thought he showed glimpses of the first half of the season last night.
A rest should do them all well.
Weird how we see the game differently isn’t it.
I thought Jellis had an off night.
He did loads of running but his first touch, passing, free kicks and corners were poor.
Yep
I said more or less that in an earlier post - great work rate but for the most part, largely ineffective….
What? Stirk is player of the season!
What? Sack a manager when we are too? Madness!
The team going forward; I was all for giving Hornby a go in goal but he didn’t look confident at all to me yesterday. Wier has a real quality left foot, I would like to see him and Allen rotated more. Likewise with McEntee and Dave at RCB. Comley is just not good enough, simple as, and I’m praying Sadler can now see that for the vital run-in. We always, always play better with a midfield 3 of Stirk, Lakin and Jellis. The suspension and extra rest for Barrett hopefully benefits him and the team.
My starting 11 for the rest of the season barring injury and suspension would be:
Simkin
Barrett - Dave/McEntee - Williams - Allen/Wier - Gordon
Jellis - Stirk - Lakin
Matt - Harrison
I’m not a fan of Sadler but wow calls to sack him now are OTT.
Never in my wildest dreams did i think we would be top of the table in March when the season started. I though another season mid table mediocrity would be our lot.
Things are starting to even out now, we had a fair bit of fortune earlier in the season, winning games that would normally be draws or losses.
It’s going to be a tight run in but lets judge it at the end of the season. If we don’t go up from where we were (12 points clear) then questions about Sadler and his tactics definitely need to be asked.
Having walked into the house at 2 am and reflected a little on the match I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. Firstly whatever our shortcomings I have to credit Bromley for 2 wonderful goals and for the ambition they are showing in building up a club from a very low level. The toilets were very basic though and hopefully the new stand along the side will include better facilities for away fans.
I thought except for the immediate aftermath of the first goal we were more like the team who took the division by storm earlier in the season and I was very surprised to see so much negativity on here at HT and FT. It was a good point against a decent outfit. I thought at the game we should have introduced some fresh legs with about 20 to go. Comley was obviously struggling and I think Adomah may have given that extra bit of skill to win the game .
Some other points I think Matt and Levi worked well together and both took their goals well,. I thought Allen improved in midfield as the game progressed and Weir was competent. I was heartened by our second half and I hope it will be the springboard to a great run in.
Terrible 1st half, much better 2nd half.
Defence is still a huge worry, but they were not helped with having Mr Indecisive behind them.
Hoof ball is shit.
Jamma lucky not to be sent off, apart from that the ref was decent.
Lack of subs either due to resting for next week or happy for a draw.
Would have taken a point pre game and at Half Time.
Baring a miracle we will still be top after the weekend.
He was but I have no idea why he was booked. It seemed to me that the two Bromley players got tangled. There was a similar incident when Gordon was pushed into the dugout but no booking.
